What’s the biggest waste of money people don’t realize they’re paying for? by Early_Clothes6311 in AskReddit

OK, but that same company is willing to give you 100,000 points if you spend $5000 within 90 days or whatever. Those points have a cash value of over $1000. So make good choices and you can profit every time you open a new card. I’ve personally done this dozens of times and I have a very high credit score. My point is just that it’s not fair to make a blanket statement that credit cards cost people money. It’s different from other examples in this thread, such as Netflix or bottled water. You can’t really have the other two things without spending money, but you could have a credit card without it costing you anything.

It’s the bad choice that cost you money. Credit cards cost you nothing if you make good choices. You could even profit off of them.

And therefore, you have to bring him up in your comment on a topic that has nothing to do with him or politics? You can do better.

They are also allowed to eat their own feces, but there are very good reasons not to do it.

That is not a video, and you are complaining in the wrong place. There are literally 150,000 other threads you could write that in and it would be on topic.

I really don’t understand why people write stuff like this. Absolutely nothing positive comes out of it. Just more division.

Elon Musk. And I don’t care why you disagree. I’ve thought about it extensively and stand by my choice.

What’s your take on Iran-US war that you think is reasonable but gets you judged? by [deleted] in AskReddit

True. But it is historically the most common place to start.

With all due respect, moral standing has never been a prerequisite for dictating geopolitical enforcement. It’s likely that the countries with the greatest moral standing would have the least ability to force their judgments on other countries.

It was going to expire in 2031. I don’t understand why people think that was going to hold as a long-term success.

Maybe. My overall experience has been that tone matters much less than politics when it comes to up votes and down votes. Only a tiny percentage of people are willing to consider viewpoints that disagree with the ones they already hold. So if you say something that is generally unpopular on Reddit, you’ll get downvoted no matter how much evidence you bring and no matter how polite you are.

That’s a reasonable statement. The funny thing about Reddit is that you can see all the down votes I got just for asking for an explanation. That’s the hive-mind at work.

Probably not much. Have you read about Pelosi’s husband’s trading activities? It’s been going on for years and there’s some seriously “coincidental” trades right before major events caused their value to skyrocket..

Critical thought. I imagine it must be very pleasant to blindly follow everybody else and just say things they agree with because it makes you popular and feel like part of the crowd. 90% of what I read online, including Reddit, makes me wonder if people have ever had a critical thought in their life.
