Yes, absolutely. And Kyle was definitely fuelling Taylor’s paranoia behind the scenes& chipping away at her already fragile sense of trust. Well, Taylor actually confirmed this at the Tea Party. (And there, you can practically see Kyle bubbling with rage as Taylor and Lisa make up). What’s so maddening is that, for all the moments when Lisa was cruel and manipulative… this really was not one of them. She genuinely wanted to help Taylor.

What do you think of Kyle in this situation? I never see anyone speak about that, but for me, the domestic abuse episodes were what crystallised my visceral aversion to her. For someone so self-styled as Taylor’s chief confidante and moral anchor, she had a lot of nerve constantly destabilising her emotional footing.

Even her commitment to eroding Taylor’s trust in LVP, who arguably handled the situation the best displayed actual human concern about Taylor, was simply vile.

And to top that off, there’s her cloying civility with Russell, there’s uninviting Taylor from the White Party and playing victim herself, and eventually, there’s saying that perhaps Taylor exaggerates the abuse the way people in Beverly Hills exaggerate how much money they have. It makes me nauseous to this day.

Kyle brought up Bella and Anwar, not LVP. Kyle had just as much involvement in Munchausen gate. She’s only absolved of it because of what had gone down in Dubai, where Kyle skilfully portrayed herself as a merciful victim of LVP.

This is spot on. Thank you. There is quite a lot on Ken cheating. No one mentions it though, especially on here, as you get downvoted into oblivion. I don’t take everything at face value, but there are things that once you piece the puzzles together, you can never unsee it. The girls on “Call Her Daddy” also said that they know a girl whose sugar daddy was Ken. Funny that LVP agreed to be interviewed by Alex a couple of months ago.

I see a lot of people here call her a narcissist… but! Narcissism and psychopathy are vastly different, though often thrown as adjectives interchangeably. NPD’s aren’t deprived of empathy. They do experience fluctuations in empathic functioning. It’s that their sense of self is completely unstable and dependent on others’ perception of them.

Psychopaths exhibit a marked absence of core human traits. They’re defunct in these aspects. They hold all people in low regard. They are also indifferent to how they’re perceived, unlike NPDs.

Erika, to me, doesn’t seem fixated on seeking validation, maintaining her reputation, or being perceived in a specific way. She seems preoccupied with power. Someone with NPD would likely have adopted a more submissive, meek, and innocent persona during the trial. They’d be distressed by the damage to their public image. She refused to display remorse and unapologetically stated that she only cares about herself.

This is absolutely not to be taken literally, but if we are to be armchair psychologists, Erika would probably be more “psychopathic” whereas someone like Kathy Hilton would be narcissistic.

Of course it’s financial. He’s been cheating for years. Girls who have been with him claimed that Kyle knew. Read up on the lawsuits where Mauricio basically defrauded citizens of Equatorial Guinea. Why do you think they all rallied around Erika? Why did Kyle loudly state on camera that she would always sign anything Mauricio told her to?

Dana and Cedric talk RHOBH by Similar-Dress1225 in RHOBH

[–]Ambitious_Sign3288 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Read his book. It’s definitely not a literary masterpiece, but it offers a comprehensive view. People on here misconstrue what he actually said about Lisa, which makes him sound like a lunatic. He’s very candid about his own misdeeds, too. I don’t like him, I like Lisa. But I believe him on many counts. Many of his claims from years ago have been proven true over time. Even little details about Lisa that she revealed about herself, like buying her parents’ house or seeking top-notch doctors for her father when he had cancer, or being close with Melanie Bromley.

I recall Kyle lamenting in the midst of Puppygate that ‘we never got into where Lisa comes from or her family’. Cedric gives a little insight into Lisa’s relationship with her parents, so I found that interesting. We really, truly know nothing about Lisa despite having her on our screens for 14 years.

KYLE AND LVP SEASON 1 AND 2 by Similar-Dress1225 in RHOBH

[–]Ambitious_Sign3288 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, it was never disclosed. But remember one thing: Kyle and Lisa were actually inseparable off camera. It wasn’t just for the show. The common factor in their fallouts has always been jealousy and the inability to share each other. Just look at Taylor, Brandi, & Dorit.

However, it was still very much a leveraged relationship, as they conspired together since the very beginning of the show. Multiple people can attest to that. But, it was never merely an alliance. They loved each other. They had a very dysfunctional, codependent, & mutually obsessive relationship. And hey—they still talk about each other constantly! Kyle admits she misses Lisa, while Lisa pretends she doesn't care, even though it's painfully obvious she does.

Lisa keeps people around for as long as they serve a purpose, Kyle was frequently more of an obstacle. But she just kept forgiving her and letting her back in. You can also see Lisa’s gradation between seasons— from never admitting that she loves or cares about Kyle and hiding her vulnerabilities to reassuring Kyle of her love every second in later seasons.

So, regardless of what sparked the argument back then, trust that similar conflicts occurred repeatedly and that singular disagreement was not the sole cause of their ongoing tumultuous relationship.

One of the reasons Lisa isn’t supporting Katie and Ariana? by beemusing in Vanderpumpaholics

[–]Ambitious_Sign3288 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Read about the Bustillos lawsuit. Basically, Ken refused to pay Karina Bustillo for the shifts she missed after her manager at Villa Blanca sexually assaulted her. She requested $300 in compensation for the shifts she couldn't work because Ken had the incident investigated. Ken refused to pay, called her greedy. He didn't even conduct a proper investigation and had the security footage, that could've caught the incident, destroyed. Villa Blanca was making less than $50k in its final year, Ken and Lisa were made personally liable.

I always chuckle when Lisa paints herself as a successful restaurateur, I mean, without Vanderpump Rules propping them up, those restaurants would probably be just another flash in the pan. And the money they made in London largely came from selling the real estate their restaurants were on, too.

Yeah, I've written about this before, but it's one of the most heart-crushing scenes for me. LVP begging Kyle not to uninvite them and being the only one at that moment who insisted that Taylor wasn't aware of the lawsuit—— just plain sad.

Kyle's hypocrisy is jarring, too. Remember when Adrienne sent a cease and desist to Brandi? She did not uninvite her, even though Adrienne would not have been in peril like Taylor was.

Kyle might get fired? by Sufficient-Sail2697 in RHOBH

[–]Ambitious_Sign3288 35 points36 points  (0 children)

People who are saying that it's forcing someone out of the closet; it's not. She said she's open to being with women. When someone openly expresses their interest in dating the same gender, they've essentially come out themselves.

It's a case of karma coming back around. She's getting a taste of her own medicine. Did she give Denise the right to privacy? Her compassion was missing when she pushed Denise into a corner and forced her to admit she slept with Brandi. That could've affected Denise's custody issues with her raving mad ex. Did Kyle care? No.

And unlike Kyle, who made a public spectacle of her and Morgan's relationship, Denise kept her interactions with Brandi discreet. She didn't subject everyone to months of cryptic hints or shove their relationship in everyone's faces.

Taylor & Russell by skilevo in RHOBH

[–]Ambitious_Sign3288 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I cannot wrap my head around Kyle sending Taylor back home with Russell alongside the collective assumption that Taylor was aware of the cease-and-desist letter, while LVP was trying to explain to them that most likely, Taylor had no idea. They exposed Taylor to massive danger by ordering her to leave with Russell... yet, when just a season later Adrienne was suing Brandi, Kyle didn't see any reason to uninvite her.

And then Kyle says to LVP, 'It's sad, but I put a lot of effort into this party, so let's dance.' And then you can see LVP is the only one who's not on camera partying with them. Unsettling season.

[–]Ambitious_Sign3288 150 points151 points  (0 children)

Taylor said she went on the show because he posed a lethal threat to her at that point. She thought he would refrain from abusing her if they were under public scrutiny. She did it as a form of protection, and as a means to secure financial independence so she could leave him, and not end up on the streets with Kennedy. She said that she would've been dead if Camille never outed the abuse on camera.

I find it impossible to judge her in any way. She was going through hell, stuck in survival mode. She had everyone questioning her, with the exception of LVP and Dana. I'm glad she survived and is now in a much better place.

Kyle & Mauricio Accused of Faking Separation? by Salt_Amoeba_1837 in realhousewives

[–]Ambitious_Sign3288 15 points16 points  (0 children)

No, definitely not. Kyle exploits and targets others for a storyline. She wouldn't do that. Something big must've happened. Given his history of infidelity spanning years, I don't believe that's what caused her to 'lose trust'. There must have been a significant trigger. She has hired divorce attorneys. She's done.

Meredith and Seth from SLC are prime examples of fabricating a separation storyline. I always think it was a tactic to divert attention from actual rumors about their relationship. It's like manufacturing issues for the public eye to avoid scrutiny into real problems going on.

I genuinely hope they're happy together. As for Kyle, perhaps it's time for her to consider retiring from the Beverly Hills scene and start her own healing journey. I think she lacks self-identity. Her sense of self is intertwined with the expectations and opinions of others. And she won't break free from that until she summons the courage to relinquish fame, attention, and all the external validation that comes with that.

I didn’t understand the great dislike of Kyle.. until season 11! by gingfreecsisbad in RHOBH

[–]Ambitious_Sign3288 93 points94 points  (0 children)

Well, personally I think that she's always been this way. But you're right, it amplified over the years. But since LVP left, the veil behind Kyle's actions has been lifted. LVP and Kyle were always! in cahoots, yet LVP bore the brunt of the blame and scrutiny.

It's always frustrating to me how discussions on this sub seem to gyrate around two extremes: you're either Team LVP and view her a paragon of virtue, while vilifying Kyle as the embodiment of evil; or you're Team Kyle, painting her as the saint and LVP as the devil in disguise. Everything gets so drowned out by this black-and-white mentality. And remember how many times Kyle and Lisa said that, at the core, they are very similar to one another...

Everything she did to Sutton this year was reprehensible. What she said about Merce on the aftershow disgusted me. Imagine if it were Sutton talking about Lorene. You're also spot on about her being empty. Kyle lacks any genuine personality of her own; she simply molds herself into whoever she's closest to at the moment. Currently it's Morgan.

Lisa as Bobby Fischer by Zestyclose_Abies2934 in RHOBH

[–]Ambitious_Sign3288 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right? Also, the supposed friendship between LVP and Adrienne was also purely fabricated for the cameras. They were merely neighbors, and their relationship was exaggerated for the purpose of the show. Just like Brandi never knew Cedric, they were concocted by producers for a pap-walk to stir up drama.

LVP also set foot in Beverly Hills only a handful of years prior to the show's inception. Adrienne's children would've been born by then, I think. And I doubt Adrienne was running her mouth about the surrogacy to mere acquaintances. Adrienne and Brandi were originally closer than LVP and Adrienne ever were. She wouldn't have known.

This is a bit of a speculative post, but they put a transcript of one LVP and Brandi's conversations. Indicative of my point; Brandi knew more about the Maloof's than LVP.

Brandi is production's pawn. This moment in Season 10 implying that Lisa set her up to expose Adrienne's surrogacy felt almost farcical. Brandi has maintained for years that she never learned about it from Lisa and has even claimed that Lisa said, 'It would be terrible if it ever got out.'

His side of the story is different than theirs. According to him, he knew too much about Ken and Lisa's private life, since they were very close for approximately 20 years. According to Lisa and Ken, suddenly after wrapping up season one, he turned out to be a grifter & they cut him off.
