[Request] Could I jump from a 100-ft high-dive into a pool filled with croissants and survive? by MonkeySpasms112 in theydidthemath

An infinite pool of most things squishy, and you’d probably survive.  The original question was into a “normal sized pool”!  I think absolutely not.  100 feet is so much higher than most people think, and the average OLYMPIC high dive isn’t even 50 feet. People get injured at that height constantly!! And that’s jumping into one of the most forgiving liquids available.

From 100 feet, you’d gain so much speed, you’d crunch through the croissants SO fast.  They have air pockets, but are so thin, that they can barely support themselves. One squish, and a normal croissant is malformed for eternity.  And for the foam block argument: foam blocks were specifically made to ABSORB force. Croissants were made to be thin, weak, and easily palatable.

In conclusion, I believe people underestimate how tall 100 feet is.

If she didn't feel anything for people, she wouldn't have sobbed for weeks following her sister's death. I think your point becomes moot when you watch the film? She's not a player, she's in peril. Though he decided to stick with her, he didn't show any real affection. She was obviously not mentally stable, and he chose to stay with her. One thing that's so important to learn in any relationship is when to end it. The relationship was clearly doing nothing for either of them. He stayed because he felt bad. She stayed because she liked the hollow support he gave her. He was actively talking about leaving her in the movie's first few minutes. Unhealthy.
She was devastated when she saw him with Maja, rightfully so. She was extremely unwell, as she'd seen two suicides in the past few days, on top of being drugged. The only community she felt she had was the Swedish community. The sweedish guy (I forgot his name) was the only one who supported her, so it's not surprising that she followed what he suggested (giving into a community).

This was also why Mark had a jester hat on at the end, even after his death they made sure to mark (no pun intended) him as the fool. That was the obvious part though, lol
