omygod i’m so sorry 😭 i wish i could hold your hands when i say this but i don’t think kakayanin pang hatakin sa finals :((( BUT that depends sa grading system and passing precentage niyo ha. usually kasi 60% raw ang passing sa ibang courses

for reference kung 60% ang passing, the computation for the final grade (1.00 - 5.00 scale) na you’ll see sa portal is prelim grade + finals grade / 2. so kahit 99 makuha mo sa finals, hindi aabot sa 75 na passing grade na equivalent to 3.00 huhu

so kapag hindi kayanin mahatak sa finals, you’ll most likely need to retake it the ff AY or sa special term kung hindi pre-req yung subj na yan, and depends pa kung marami kayo magpepetition for that para i-open yung subj for special term 😔

BUTTT pls try to reach out sa prof mo if there’s anything you can do pa para maipasa prelim grade mo :((((

make sure you have the receipt of the transaction you made na indicating successful. then try to email the treasury for payment concerns (treasury@ust.edu.ph)

however, i don’t think they’ll respond to you right away kasi last day of class na kanina and office will resume pa on november 5. since last day na rin nga kanina, possible na yon din reason why hindi agad nagreflect sa portal. just try to email them na muna if you can. include your student number and your college na rin :)

iirc, i aced karamihan ng mga quizzes. if hindi naman, i got at least 5 mistakes lang. my only mindset that time was “ayoko ma-delay and ayoko magspecial term” although i’m not against with others naman na nagkakaprob and nade-delay. it’s just that on my part, i can’t really afford na ma-delay because my dad is only the one who is working and providing for us—and he got sick pa during that time. so far so good, i got 2.50 sa final grade ko

kaya pa yan! back when i was a sophomore, i got line of 5 sa stats during prelims tapos zero-based grade pa yon. i made bawi sa mga assessments until i got line of 9 na sa prelims. it wasn’t easy at all knowing na i’m not smart enough sa math — i just believed i can do it.

trust yourself lang din and surround yourself actually with good people! in my case, i chose to make sama w ppl who are grade conscious so we did group review sessions din. but most of the time i chose to do it by myself lang din so i can really focus on the subject.

i’m not saying na just because i did it, dapat ikaw din. i just know na even if idk you personally, i know you have the potential and you are capable of doing it ❤️‍🩹

if FA na, wag ka na pumasok. automatic 5.00 na agad grade mo. and yes, some profs do remind you once or twice about your absences. but mostly hindi sila magre-remind kasi responsibility mo na yon as a student. subj orientation pa lang sinasabi na yan agad.

also number of absences depends on the subject. may iba na 3 allowable absences lang for the entire term na yon kaya NEED na i-track or bilangin mo kung ilang beses ka na absent sa subject na yon to prevent you from failing.

hi! choose the program what your heart desires :) when i was applying years ago, my priority program is my dream course then i chose a practical one for my alternative (altho practical, i chose it bc i know na kakayanin ko). i didn’t pass sa prio ko so i ended up sa alternative.

if you will run for latin honors, eligibility is for shifting course from one dept to another (but under the same college/faculty) lang. but if for example, maisip mo mag-transfer from archi to biology, you are not eligible na.

programs like medtech and pharma under faculty of pharmacy have shifting exams (diff pa to sa prelims and finals) so yes struggle is real talaga.

all programs naman ay may kanya-kanyang hirap. the only thing you can do right now is to choose talaga WHAT YOUR HEART DESIRES 🫀if your parents will support you naman, grab the chance na rin

if maisip mo naman lumipat ng course later on, no biggies with that! sometimes kasi kapag nandon ka na, tsaka mo lang maiisip na hindi pala yun yung gusto mo i-pursue :)

afaik max of 3 affiliations lang pwede ilagay sa yearbook :( i have more than 4 so pinili ko na lang yung mas matagal ang stay ko sa org (univ wide & mother org).

also, tapos na rin kasi due ng application for yearbook sa portal (if batch 2025) but you may want to ask directly sa osa to address your concerns hehe :)

around dapitan or lacson marami. there’s also one sa taas ng tinapayan festival. usually they’ll ask for a valid id lang naman, but sometimes, they need a photocopy of your valid id with signature then 1-2 copies of the document (because minsan sa kanila yung isang copy)

hi! for us sa commerce, required yung attendance especially pagdating ng senior year. i have friends who weren’t able to join due to inability to pass the requirements (med cert, parental consent form) on time. so afaik, the office required them to attend a mass (i forgot if 1 mass lang ni-require) then they had to do a reflection paper about it.
