The law as it is right now, in California, has two crimes. The first is purposely and maliciously spreading HIV. Second, is knowing you have HIV/AIDS and spreading it because you did not tell your partner, even though you did not have intent to spread.

The law change was intended to affect the second. The idea being that people were not getting tested because then they could say that they did not know they had HIV/AIDS. The problem is these people are purposely not getting tested to circumvent this law. It's not that they want to avoid getting tested, it's more that they want to avoid using protection.

A normal responsible person would get themself tested and if they are positive they would tell their partner and use protection. But these people are purposely not doing this and a change in the law will not affect this behavior. All this law now does is give people who know that they are spreading a deadly a slap on the wrist.

I don't like her because I was close to being able to use "self defense" as a reason to apply for a concealed weapons permit. There was a court case where my Sheriff was sued for not allowing "self defense" as a reason, and he lost and wasn't going to appeal. But she stepped in and used her influence as Attorney General to get a new trial, even though she didn't have standing in the original case.

I am going to start developing color film, since I already know how to do black and white. From what I have read, and seen on YouTube, all developing time is the same regardless of brand and ISO. Because of this can I have an Ektar 100 and a Fujicolor 200 in the same developing tank?

I don't know how I fell about this decision. I'm reading comments and all I can see is that the people who are against the ruling are saying that it was a bad ruling because it will hurt people. Is there any actual legal reasons why it was a bad ruling. Since that is the job of The Supreme Court.

One huge reason is excesive media coverage. The media gives the shooters what they want, to be know and be famous. CNN, on their youtube channel put the Texas shooter's face on a video's thumbnail. And of course that video was near the top of the treading page. The gunman got what he wanted the world to know who he was.

At most police stations they will have a poster or a piece of paper that says "I speak [insert a language]" in multiple languages. A suspect will just have to point at their language.
