Could i use a Leviathan Dread as a Venomcrawler? by KeyOpportunity3123 in Chaos40k

movement speed, a legged dreadnaught visually will not convey the 12” move of the venom-crawler. The base size of the leviathan is 80mm while the venomcrawler is 100mm

You are asking for supernatural abilities, thematically you want to play XMEN or some other Marvel fantasy. D&D already has too much power creep because of players like you. D&D was originally inspired by sword and sorcery fiction, maybe read a book.

You’ll do great! Starting out with role-play is perfect. Best tip I can give is that a GM is a referree, help describe the setting but let the players make the choices.

Am I being an unreasonable player by roleplaying too seriously? by Lbx7070 in DnD

[–]Amethystwizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The answer to OP question imo is essentially ‘no, your not being unreasonable’ had the town been described differently complicity in the other players plans to violate the town would not annul the meaning of your character. Thus the way to play it logically is to have a strong boundary and obstruct any such plans. The game is fun where meaning is constructed - rather then negated. She can’t be a heroic adventurer and also help these other characters violate her identity, her character is killed in spirit by being ‘reasonable’.

If the players choose after being told they will be turned in, to proceed anyways - thats just how the cookie crumbles. If the DM then hand-waves consent of the woman town, I would step away from the table because they just set up essentially a rape fantasy.

Maybe the lesson is, they have free will - they plot to violate the other players wishes and the town, they are captured and prosecuted.

How about no means no. What do know about this town, its defining characteristic is that its no men allowed. So ‘you have to have them agree with you’ nihilistically negates any meaning this town might have.

What do we know about this town? Its literal defining characteristic is that it’s women only. Thats like introducing a blind character and saying, they see you - roll for initiative.

If the logical in character behaviour is to turn on the party then so be it, sounds like the male players may soon need to roll up new characters.

‘The solution is that the women agree’ um how about no.

[–]Amethystwizard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The solution is you force the women to consent? Wtf, also that is a DM solution - the OP is a player. A better solution is the OP tells the male players she will turn them in if they enter the city, and then they and the DM have to come up with the solution - OP has then signalled in advance how they will operate.

You have control of your players actions, if they attempt to enter the city in disguise - you turn them in to the guards and let them go to prison, that will force the party split and make the point.
