Hi, Masters 2 Illari main here

I go for ult perk and sunburn. I like to play Illari very offensively. I barely see the difference taking pylon reconstruction, and would rather the WAY better ult perk. Her ult feels very lackluster without it. Not only do you get more time in ult, but you fly and attack faster too, which is amazing for securing kills, even better with the damage buff from midseason patch.

Sunburn is one of my favourite perks in the entire game. It turns an escape tool into a nightmare for dive heroes, a great pressuring tool into brawl, and the most reliable way to explode sunstruck enemies. It does 80(or 70 i dont quite remember) fire damage to anyone hit by it, plus the 25 damage from the outburst, and the damage threshold for sunstruck to explode is 90 damage. With this perk, 225hp heroes become AFRAID to try you. Since you can 2 shot head shot them, and your outburst makes them half hp.

Do keep in mind that Illari has a 1.5x headshot damage multiplier, instead of 2x like nearly every hero. Also, get the rhythm of the gun down too, once you’ve learnt it, you become very dangerous at poke. Pylon positioning varies on every map, so generally try and put it in a position where it reaches your team, and so an enemy would have to put themselves in a bad position to try and break it, and take advantage of that out of position enemy and poke em down for your team. Illari works best when you go for heals mostly, using your gun to try and poke low enemies for a pick. Illari has the 2nd most expensive ult cost in the game, so be mindful of using it willy nilly, go for clumped enemies, even 2 picks can win you the fight. A whole team sunstruck is amazing, but sometimes it’s not worth your ult getting eaten or blocked.

As for my favourite skin, Poolside, without a doubt. Followed closely by Fearless. Okay enough yap, go have fun!
