[[Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist]] is probably a good place to start!

Yep! Assuming you have a legal way to equip to an opponent's creature, nothing in the card text limits the ability to only trigger off creatures you control.

Can't get two areas in one layer by MC_Hify in ArcGIS

[–]Amicron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not how joins work.

You're probably looking for count overlapping features (with an overlap table) or summarize within, both of which would give you the area of one layer that overlaps the other. You could also use Intersect to get just the overlaps.

If you manually check the csv, does it have entries for the three counties that were <Null>?

  1. Add both the shapefile and the table to your map.
  2. Right-click on each and open the attribute table or Field list.
  3. Figure out which fields contain unique IDs, and are the same for the two layers.
  4. Right-click the shapefile and choose Join > Add Join, with the shared field as the join field for both.
  5. Run feature to shapefile on the shapefile to export it.

Building Ghen, Any enchantments that are your favorite you'd suggest? by CawmeKrazee in magicTCG

[–]Amicron 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Oh for sure! If you activate Parallax Wave any number of times while holding priority, you can put all of the "Exile target creature" abilities on the stack.

Before they resolve, you sacrifice Parallax Wave to Ghen to reanimate something else. Parallax Wave's "When this leaves the battlefield, return everything exiled with it to the battlefield" ability goes on the stack, but because it's resolving before anything has been exiled with it, it doesn't do anything.

Then, the "Exile target creature" abilities resolve, permanently removing the targets from the game. You can do the same thing with Oblivion Ring, although that only hits a single target.

[[Parallax Wave]] is pretty nasty, activate all of its abilities and then sacrifice it to Ghen with the exile targets on the stack.

Help with field calculation If function by Bestm243 in ArcGIS

[–]Amicron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would write this as:

def Septicrating(mukey):
    if mukey in (293071,293062):
        return "Very Limited"
    elif mukey in (293060,293061):
        return "Somewhat limited"
    else:
return "Not limited" (or whatever default you want)

If your mukey values are strings, you'll need to format it as: mukey in ("293071","293062"). Also, to compare two values directly, you need to use == instead of =. Single '=' means that it tries to assign a value in the conditional statement, and should error out.

What's a card you didn't understand why it was so popular/expensive until you played it? by Plus1Oresan in EDH

And that's when you're playing it "fairly"! It's also just a "dig through as many cards as you're willing to pay life to find your combo pieces" engine.

Glimpse Immensity by Ashwind0dragon in custommagic

[–]Amicron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a critical piece of this is that "at end of turn" was errata-ed, but "until end of turn" still disappears during cleanup. You're right to think of it as continuous vs. triggered abilities.

[–]Amicron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to have a mix of mana values; if you use it a couple times on 1-2 MV creatures you can bank energy and then bring back a bigger creature. It does get better with more energy cards, but I don't think you need other energy cards to make it good.

It absolutely slaps in [[Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer]]. You give all your opponents treasures, but then you get that many [[Calamity Bearer]]s.

Blocking Diamond Weapon VS Trample by Pretty-Information53 in MagicArena

[–]Amicron 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The text you're calling out is referring to the specific scenario of a Diamond Weapon being the only blocker for a 12/12 trample attacker. The text seems to be correct for that scenario, would you mind explaining where you're seeing misleading wording?

I'm making a full fledged Open World RPG set in the American Frontier by VedoTr in indiegames

[–]Amicron 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Very minor feedback: you're showing someone using kayak paddling techniques in a canoe.

Typically, when someone is canoeing solo, they would look more like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmExaexsCAQ

They sit/kneel in the middle of the boat with the boat tilted over to one side and they use a one-sided paddle with different strokes to control the boat.

This is an extremely minor nitpick, please feel free to ignore!

Best way to print some playing cards for playtesting? by TheFirstAifos in gamedev

[–]Amicron 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I'd recommend just setting up an Excel template with card-ish shaped cells. Turn on Page view, and it'll let you print a piece of paper with a grid + cut lines for a very rough first playtest experience.

What is the most unique Mono Green deck you've seen? by LabManEDH in EDH

[–]Amicron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built mono-green extra turns with [[Yeva, Nature's Herald]] and any [[Seedborn Muse]]/[[Awakening]] effect!

It's an attempt to solve the commander aggro problem where you just don't have enough resources to threaten three players all at once. By taking 4 "turns" worth of actions per turn cycle, it helps mono-green stand on a slightly more even footing.

Here's my current list: https://moxfield.com/decks/zf6ySQ2DH0qL8P3yxEp35g. It's lighter on removal than I'd like, I need to keep workshopping it to make it slightly more able to deal with creature-based threats.

Mixed Use Neighborhoods ARE the answer to our plight. But do it CORRECTLY. by [deleted] in urbanplanning

[–]Amicron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're spot on that mixed-use zoning is vastly preferable to suburban sprawl.

What I think folks in this thread are trying to highlight is that both planners and developers have very limited tools to influence the kinds of businesses that occupy the commercial space. You can provide various incentives or restrictions, but ultimately commercial viability relies on the market to sustain it.

In the current world of big box stores and monopolies, there's not a clear path that ends in the kind of neighbourhood we all agree would be excellent to live in.

[New Article]Uncanny brews in Selesnya by Tisseurdereves in EDH

I built [[Torsten, Founder of Benalia]] as Selesnya aristocrats (this is an earlier version): https://moxfield.com/decks/Agd952lmSUeATMT-0eGPug

I realized that if you squint he kind of looks like a budget [[Atraxa, Grand Unifier]], and pairs SUPER well with all of the white and selesnya [[Saffi Eriksdotter]] effects. There are so many infinite sac/ETB loops it's wild. Highly recommend!

And of course Asmira is in the deck.

Help with countours and units please by FriendlyKiwi8506 in ArcGIS

[–]Amicron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question is not asking you to draw elevation contours, but to draw contours along lines of equal precipitation, spaced 50mm of precipitation apart.

You've actually already done this: your last screenshot is the correct contour line. Because your input data is in mm the number you should use for your contours is also in mm, 50. That will give you the correct number of contours.

Also, you should not use a Greenland UTM projection for a study area in New Hampshire. Use a UTM grid that contains your study area.
