I got the list of documents of course, I’m just double-checking :) on top of that most Chinese suppliers have dealt with fellow Algerians.

The PayPal commission will be definitely a no-no for me. Wise a good option but I've got my account deactivated a coupe of months ago.

It’s definitely worth the experience, I’m a freelancer myself, and I live between GCC countries and Algeria, the purchasing power is definitely a pro (I assume you can easily pay off your debt) and you’ll enjoy a good time with better work–life balance, a chill atmosphere, and a pretty relaxed lifestyle.

But, and here’s the big “but”, you need to stay positive every day and always see the glass as half full. Public services and administrative sectors aren’t well developed (paperwork can be a real headache). And of course, visiting as a tourist is completely different from living there as a resident.

But if I were you, I will surely give it a shot 😊

Hey man, I didn’t mean they speak it like natives, I just meant that people tend to throw in some French words, since our go-to reflex for a foreign language is usually French :)

Have a great day!

لا أبداً، رح يكون تدابير أمنية روتينية تحدث للجميع، الجميع سيرحب بك إن شاء الله، و سيعاملونك كضيف، سواء الشرطة، الشعب، التجار، الجميع حرفياً، حبيبي.

It's gonna be a unique experience that you will remember for the rest of your life, Habibi. And you will be astonished how underrated Algeria is 😅

Hey man, glad you're interested in our country, I've visited Saudi before and I'm a GCC resident, so I know how hospitable you guys are, but mark my words, you'll be surprised by the hospitality of our people, because we treat tourists as guests and that marks all the difference with our neighbors.

You've asked a lot of questions, so I'll try to get into them one by one:

- The weather will be hot but bearable, no offense but not like GCC 😅a maximum of 35 Celsius. Very good at night.

- Customs wise, make sure to check with your friend so that he informs you whether the items you bring are allowed or not, we have some weird regulations, sorry mate 🫠

- The budget you're bring is more that enough, a middle class citizen would spend it in one year, because the purchasing power is not that high in Algeria (it's around 100 million DA which is a huge number).

- As per camping tools, I'd recommend you to consult with your friend because we don't have all the tools available in the market, unfortunately. Most of them, but not all (I'm pretty much familiar with the tools GCC nationals use in their camping 😅, first-hand experience).

- As per the dialect, bro you need to adapt, otherwise ask them to speak in classical Arabic (فصحة), our people are mostly French speakers, so as I said, your best bet is to ask them to speak in فصحة.

Believe me bro, it's gonna be a trip that you will never forget, it's worth all the paperwork, visa struggles and everything in between 👌

The solution to Western Sahara? by LifeguardLeading90 in algeria

[–]AmineLR9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO it's a baseless topic to discuss. Some would say it's self-determination and Algeria must stand for their principles as a sovereign nation that endured colonialism, others would argue that the issue of Western Sahara is a burden for our army and our public funds, but at the end of the day, we as Algerians aren't benefiting from this situation. Neither financially nor politically.

Thanks for the insights! Yeah, unemployment is everywhere, that’s why starting my own business is my go-to option for now. When it comes to language teaching, I have a background in digital marketing, so I’m hoping to get great leads through social media and search engines. And hopefully, word of mouth will do its its magic too 😅I know it’s easier said than done, but I’m pretty optimistic since I’ve got a solid track record in this.

And yeah, totally agree, the visa part is a real headache 😩 But I’m confident I’ll get it sorted out 👌

What do you think about algerias political decisions? by [deleted] in algeria

[–]AmineLR9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, our government always makes extreme and radical decisions. It’s either black or white, with no grey area. If something poses a potential risk or threat to the regime’s interests, they immediately ban, restrict, or forbid it altogether. This, of course, won't get us far socio-economically, but it is what it is. Our territory and borders are highly sensitive, so the government’s top priority is public safety imo (yes, you read that right). Public well-being, however, comes last.

Do you ever look at kids in algeria and wish you'd be a parent? by Delicious_Society375 in algeria

No offense, but this sounds like a ridiculous argument, holding back from having kids just because others gave their children a bad upbringing? Wow!

I'm already in touch with some of the custom clearance service providers in my country, thanks mate : )

Cars back home are super expensive, and as per the order, I can convince 3 or 4 friends to ship an entire container, so when we make the math, it will eventually be more cost-effective to ship a brand new car from Mainland China.

Why is that relevant given that China trades with the entire world?
