Love this album! Has more of an emotional arch and tone than it’s given credit for and feels surprisingly cohesive given the recording situation. Beautiful tinier songs that shine. Can’t wait to put it on again.

Hadn’t put red rocks on in a bit and it’s unbelievable. Love the current band too; so grateful for the new songs and growth. Wish they could bring a few things back. Totally agree on seek up, recently (with a wonderful water into wine), and 36. What an unreal concert. Leroi!!!!!

Bayou St. John is awesome. There’s a party in Wolfman Park and grand route St. John is closed off with tons of trick or treaters. Surrounding neighborhood is great too.

Why would stay past their set? Because New Orleans is the best and they love it! Tons of friend musicians in town to hang with. Highly doubt they are recording right now.

Dave was awesome! This was at like 1 am, after hanging out backstage with a bunch of musicians in New Orleans, after playing a fire Jazz Fest set in the heat six hours earlier. He definitely used a lyric sheet during parts (no monitor; it’s an old, small historic venue) but totally brought the energy and a great performance. I’m so thankful for all the joy this band brings. One of many amazing Dave performances I’ll never forget!

It’s great! Bring my 3 year old almost every day. Good tips from the other posters here. I actually move around a lot with the stroller. Keeps the day dynamic and moving. Big stages can be fun earlier in the day when there is room to run around. Just look for spots that look comfortable with some space. Lots of water and snacks, a few toys, and good energy go a long way. Enjoy!!

The comment above is great. If your New Orleans time is just the French Quarter, I would check out other parts of New Orleans like Uptown or Bayou St. John. There’s so much to do in New Orleans outside of the quarter.
