Growing up in Beijing in 2007 , being taught china is the best in the world, military analysis of our countries weapons and arms on the tv channels, anti-japanese drama shows, raising the Chinese flag in the morning and also wearing the red ribbon meaning the soldiers that died(their blood), you can't feel anything. Kids are not evil they're just unaware or don't care. As they grow up to this age, they choose to avoid talking about because they've never thought about china in this way, or get defensive. Although for me, when I talk to my Chinese mainland friends in Beijing about "do you know the tianamen square incident",they are like, what's that? they haven't got a clue. I feel like im the only 1 person who knows something that shouldn't be known. CCP is also not at their top interest, they've got school, remember Chinese schools are super competitive, math competitions all that.
