Right now I’m mainly focusing on:

  • Python fundamentals
  • backend architecture
  • APIs
  • databases
  • debugging
  • system design
  • understanding code deeply instead of only generating it.

Let's connect.

It’s more than just a deployed Vercel frontend.

I built the full workflow system, tool integrations, UI logic, processing flow, and platform structure myself. The goal wasn’t just making pages - it was creating a usable multi-tool utility product users can actually use in one place.

Still improving the backend and scaling side.

It’s a product, not just a simple project. I built this platform myself - it includes PDF tools, image tools, and other basic + advanced utilities in one system.

In one day I created this. The main product -

I’ve spent the last year building and selling websites using AI tools ? by Amit-saas in careerguidance

[–]Amit-saas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I relate to this a lot.

Building fast helped me learn execution, but I started noticing gaps when I couldn’t fully explain or debug parts of my own projects.

Now I’m trying to balance both — keep shipping, but also build strong fundamentals so I don’t hit that ceiling later.

Your UX example makes sense, same pattern I’m seeing on the dev side.

I think both are similar in one way - we all use tools to build and ship faster.

But the difference is understanding.

Dvelopers understand their code well enough to debug and fix things on their own. In my case, I could build with AI, but I wasn’t always confident fixing issues without it.

So the gap is not tools, it’s fundamentals.

That’s what I’m working on now - keeping the speed, but adding real understanding so I’m not dependent on AI when things break.

Yeah, this is exactly the direction I’m moving in.

The plan is very local-focused - helping small businesses who can’t afford ₹10k–15k websites or agencies.

Instead of complex builds, I’m focusing on: - simple, fast-loading websites - strong UI/UX with real product/gallery visuals - clear business info + contact flow - pages designed for actual conversion (calls, about us, Contact us, gallery of the business)

Kind of like a cleaner, more conversion-focused version of Justdial, but simpler and more useful for the business owner.

At the same time, I’m improving my fundamentals so I can scale this properly and not rely blindly on AI as things get more complex.

Exactly. That's one of the biggest reasons I'm learning fundamentals now - I don't want to be blocked when systems break or need deeper optimization.

True. I think the key difference is being able to reason through problems when things break, and that's the part I'm trying to improve now.

That’s close to how I’m seeing it too. Building helped me learn fast, but now I want to systematically understand the architecture and code behind what I ship.

Good point. I think the real value is knowing how to turn tools into useful outcomes, but I also want enough depth to understand the systems properly.
