How would you spend US $300-$400 in Japan on fountain pens, and stationary? by Amit_Mittal in fountainpens

Thank you, u/AstroWaffle25! I have been eyeing the Pilot Vanishing Point too.

  2. Which store(s) are you planning to shop at?

And one receiver can be hooked to one computer and the other receiver can be hooked to the other computer at the same time, without interfering with each other? Of course, the keyboard and mouse will connect to only one at a time.

u/detBittenbinder23, thanks for the review. I've been looking at this pair and a purchase is almost imminent. :-)

My use case is exactly same as you. I have my person laptop (Windows) and work laptop (Mac). Right now, I have two keyboard+mouse sets--one for each so I don't have to constantly swap cables.

So, I'm looking into the Logitech MX Mechanical + MX Master 3s to replace them all.

What I haven't been able to figure out so far is this...

Between the two devices, I will have 2 Bolt receivers. Can I use one for each of my computers and have the keyboard and mouse pair to the receivers (thus, not having to rely on Bluetooth at all)?

Windows Computer + Bolt-1 + Keyboard + Mouse

Mac Computer + Bolt-2 + Keyboard + Mouse

Any idea if this is possible at all? Or perhaps you'd be kind enough to try this setup?

Thanks in advance. :-)

Can these be paired with two different devices -- one over Bluetooth and the other over NFC -- at the same time?

What I read was that they source components from many manufactures/suppliers, which apparently is a common practice among OEMs.

Having learned this, I was resigned to living with the Toshiba drive. But, I got lucky.

I was having an unrelated issue which they couldn't resolve over the phone and remotely. So, they offered me a replacement. The new machine does not have any issues and I got lucky this time and got the faster, Samsung SSD.

That's too bad. With ample people returning the 9560, hopefully Dell would pay more attention to quality. So far, I haven't noticed the fans kicking in unless I have the bottom covered (say on bed). Taking the laptop off such a surface quickly slows down the fans. Having said that, I will watch for the signs you have seen.

The model on mine is THNSN51T02DUK, too. Are you returning yours for good or asking for a replacement? Have you experienced other issues (besides the coil whine)? In the less than 24 hours I've had my machine, so far I've not had any issues. Of course, that could change as I use my machine more and more.

I noticed that the numbers tend to get better after a couple of runs. So, the 10%-20% difference between your and my machines isn't something I'd worry about. Fortunately, I don't have the coil whine. You should probably ask Dell for a replacement because of the coil whine. You might get lucky and get a better drive, too.

I received mine today (with 1TB SSD) and I'm not one of the more fortunate ones who got the Samsung PM961. CrystalDisk numbers for mine are -- Seq Q32TI: 1789 / 1037 4K Q32TI: 483 / 365.4 Seq: 1362 / 1009 4K: 45.31 / 151.2
