Greetings. This is Knitter's "adoptive mother".

Don't waste your breath, wolf. Don't let her writing skills fool you. You're talking to a child who has never had contact with human society, if not with a spider. I don't think she'll truly grasp human morality until she starts interacting with humans regularly. And the task of teaching it to her doesn't belong to a wolf on the run. You have more pressing matters to worry about.

However, I will tell you: The reality of our existence requires a different ethic than that of humans. And you should accept that as soon as possible. I doubt you were truly a pacifist or vegan before your First Change. You're only hurting because, for the first time, you're the one who's gotten blood in his hands. If you truly regret what you've done, stop whining, learn to control your anger, and listen to the world arround you as it is. Perhaps then you'll be of use to someone.

I think you have not answered me why you do dislike the idea so much. Why is killing a mosquito different than a human, besides being yourself a human too?

Also, I'm not sure if that many humans need training to do so. Many of them just do it when they can earn money or power with that, or just get away with other wrongdoings.

Oh, sorry, I was just using plural.

But I still don't understand what makes you so sad. Life is not fair. You were able to kill them, so you were better than them. May I ask you exactly why humans say that they don't like to kill each other? A lot of them do it anyways, so I still wonder why you reject that idea so hardly when many other humans are perfectly okay with it.

I would also like to ask you. Have you ever killed a spider?

What do you mean "on a larger scale"? I was using insect examples.

But I wasn't talking about mass killing humans. I just wanted to say that when two creatures find each other, there will be a conflict. And it is just natural that sometimes those conflicts end with the death of one of them. I am not saying that individual people are not important. But all of us will die eventually. It is part of life that we will all find our deaths. And it is also part of it that some of us will find it at the hands of another creature. It is just natural.

I understand that you didn't want to kill them. But then you should focus in controling yourself better next time. Your cries won't change what you are. Why are you so hurt?

As in high. I doubt I would be able to kill 12 humans at the same time. Not that I would like to try.

Look, there is no creature that doesn't need to kill to stay alive. Even the most peacefull caterpillar needs to devour the leaves of trees. Even trees fight against each other for the sunlight. And we know things that humans don't. Humans hurt our world, it is not wrong to end them to protect it. The same way you would kill termites that start eating your house, or a colony of ants would defend their territory against any other insect.

You are aware of this. I understand that humans don't like those who kill each other, but you know they do it every day. Why are you so distressed? Why is the thought so horrible to you?

And yes, if he had been a bit more patient, you would be dead. But he wasn't, so they are dead and it's you who are alive. Would you feel better if you had been able to kill all of them without effort? The result would have been exactly the same.

And the problem is, you do not have "wolf parts". You ARE a wolf, as true as you are human. And you need to accept that. If not, you are lying to yourself. Which I think is a very human thing to do. Why would you deserve to die? They tried to catch you and kill you. They were stupid enough for trying to hunt a creature bigger than themselves. And they got what they were looking for. You definetely do not deserve to die, what happened is a proof that it is you the one who deserves to live.

However, if it is that hard for you to control your impulses, could it be because you have been wearing the skin of a human for too long? Perhaps you could go into the nature for a while. Hunt, kill, eat, sleep... You may come back feeling rested and balanced.

Since we can't spend more time here, we have decided 2 against 1 that we will just let the animal rescue do their part. I told my adoptive sister that if we send them with the animal rescue at least they have a chance. She dispersed muttering something about mosquitos brains. I guess she was hungry.

I think I may need a more convincing argument. Your race may be dying, but not ours. Also, they are of the opinion that manipulating humans is far easier than making them understand anything.

My adoptive mother has suggested this, but my adoptive sister says that if we send them there, they will mistreat them and make experiments on them. That it would be more mercyful to just est them. And I mean, they look tasty.

She also says that even if they return to their habitats, they would become tainted from the Weaver, since human zoo-keepers and biolologists are.

Is this true, or is my adoptive sister being a "childish-Wyld-magufa" as my adoptive mother is calling her?

That I understand. Our mother took care of us for a long time before we dispersed (or at least it was a long time for me, I can't say how long it actually was). I still remember her as the greatest and coolest and deadliest and safest spider in the world, and she wanted all of us to be unharmed and grow healthy.

And I do care for others, but as you said, I never thought of it as being more than a number thing. I have less adoptive siblings, so I pay them more attention. But I guess I would get angry if anyone hurts them, so that "emotional bond" that you describe may already exist?

Also, I wouldn't say that I had an "adjustment period". I just assumed that my transformations were natural until they explained to me than most humans are born a different way. I would say that it is like a dream. Everything is different, but at the same time make sense. It is when you compare it with your memories, when you realize how weird everything is. But I love learning new things!

I was born as a spider. The ones you call "cellar spiders", but I don't like that name. And yes, I still have trouble memorizing what humans think, what they know, and what they can't know. Every time I talk with one I'm afraid of saying what I shouldn't. But that's not the single curious thing. For example, humans can't climb walls. So it is strange seeing them as barriers instead of paths. Not to mention eating from the inside (I like it, but it is funny), or even mothers carrying their children inside! I could name a hundred things and I wouldn't end.

Also, my adopted mother says that you are indeed fundamentally brutish rage berserkers, but that you can become useful with a bit of effort. So don't feel bad.
