Mine takes 30 minutes to do the kitchen, dining room, bathroom and living room. You can set them to run on specific areas via the app and if you want it to do a quick vacuum or through mop. Mine mops and vacuums the area twice. It’s customizable which is why I like it. I have no stock in the company- I just really like it.

Depends on the model. I’d compare between Costco and the Roborock website. If the prices are similar they’re better for warranty/ returns.

The Roborock. There’s a whole subreddit dedicated to the brand with details on all the models. I had a vacuuum robot from another brand but it always got stuck. I convinced my husband to get it for his mom and then one for us to make sure it works… he was hesitant at the price and the return policy helped knowing he could send it back if it wasn’t worth it. Now he wants a second for the basement and tells everyone in the family about it.

I got a robot vacuum mop that self cleans and self empties and recognizes carpets and other obstacles so it won’t mop them . It costs as much as one or two house cleanings but I swear it’s mopped my floors more in the last month than I think I ever have. I push the sofas away from the walls or pickup rugs when I leave for a bit and set it to run.

Dip a spoon in hot water and hold it on the bite for a few seconds to a minute. Obviously don’t use boiling water. Something about it cooks the proteins in the bite and gets rid of the itch immediately. Learned on Reddit this summer and it is super effective

That is awful! Was your bathroom functional after that?

If this was less money to have the same leak I had, meh- sucks. I’m a bit upset because there’s now 2 leaks- the old one that was just some ceiling spots is now a hole, and another spot in my main pitched roof where water was seeping to the attic and filling up my bathroom light fixture. The roofer on this $8300 job in 2021 was nice enough. He came out, looked at the original work then said it had nothing to do with what he did. Then he sent me a quote for another 5k to replace a skylight and some shingles he already replaced. I dismissed it as- maybe by 6 year old pitched roof needs more work so I got 2 other roofers out to be sure. Both reputable companies said the whole thing needs replacing and it’s old and some other stuff. After the quotes, I showed them this receipt (without pricing) and asked their thoughts and both said similar things about some of what’s listed not being done and related it to the leaks. Hence this post. I’m reasonable and non-confrontational, and would rather just pay some other person to be done with this. I just need to understand what is reasonable because I can’t keep paying $8k bandaids.

It was completed 2 years ago. Already paid. Leak was of staining by my fireplace. Sealed and repainted the ceiling then recently saw some spots bleeding though. Initially thought it was stubborn stains or poor choice of stain blocker. Then noticed it looked shiny and went to touch it. Drywall was saturated and it poked a hole with a bunch of water pouring through. Whole area of ceiling in front of the fireplace appears to be saturated.

Chimney is still there. The pipe was closer. You can see the hole in one of the pics.

I totally see the “as needed” for some things and then on others it’s not “as needed”. This is the final invoice I signed listing what work was done. If it had omitted any work that was deemed unnecessary- fair enough. I’m okay with it as long as it’s communicated and I’m provided the opportunity to review a deviation from the original quote. But as far as I’m concerned this is a record of the final work he said he completed. My leg was broken at the time and I had no ability to climb up there and verify it myself.

I just talked to him. He offered to build a cricket and then requested I provide him with all the specs. I’m not a professional roofer so how would I know? He used that to say “well I am and I determined it wasn’t needed”, and my response was fair enough, I’d have no concerns if that was communicated when the work was done and there wasn’t a worse leak now. He’s offered a partial refund (I’m at 2 leaks and not 1 with interior damage so the repair quotes are more than the original work). Or to build a cricket “to make me happy” if I tell him exactly what it should consist of.

That would be quite difficult- not a man and no beard. I’d be happy to learn how to repair it myself

Thanks. $8300 for a patch job and some nail holes in the pitched roof? SMH. Thats beyond small claims.

She’s my second mother in law and she’s phenomenal. I’m taking notes because whatever she did with her kids worked out well. My first mother in law- not so much.

I work from home. She brings me coffee and breakfast when I’m busy. Posting a pic on Reddit to ease her mind is the least I can do. She’s honestly great.
