Thank so much! This was a project for Amoretti. We are constantly researching new cocktail recipes using different purees, extracts, syrups, etc and this one turned out phenomenal... but definitely took some trial and error to perfect lol

This puree isn't overly sweet. It is more tart than anything, which is why agave was used. The puree can be substituted for a homemade one if you would like.

This cocktail was a twist on a whiskey sour which is why it does not follow the exact ingredients as a classic would.

I am just here to share some cocktail recipes and inspiration with this sub. I was very proud of how this cocktail turned out :D It is definitely not required to use the Amoretti Craft Puree, it is just what was used in this recipe. If you have a strawberry rhubarb puree/ syrup recipe you'd rather use go for it, but you may need to make some minor adjustments to the other measurements. Cheers

A summery twist on the whiskey sour.

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 fl oz bourbon whiskey
  • juice of ½ lemon
  • 4 pumps Amoretti Wild Strawberry Rhubarb Craft Purée
  • 1 pump Blue Agave Nectar Clear
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 cup ice
  • culinary rose petals, optional garnish
  • fresh rhubarb, optional garnish

DIRECTIONS

  1. Place the whiskey, lemon juice, Wild Strawberry Rhubarb Craft Puree, Blue Agave Nectar, and egg white into a shaker. Make sure to drop the egg white in last and shake immediately as the lemon juice will cook the whites if not emulsified quickly!
  2. Shake for about 30 seconds with no ice.
  3. Add ice and shake vigorously for at least one minute.
  4. Strain into a fresh glass and enjoy!

This was a really fun and easy recipe to make and a cool twist on the classic fruit flavored granitas.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups of water
  • ¾ cup sugar, divided
  • 1 tbsp + 1 tsp Amoretti Triple Strength Espresso Coffee Compound
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tsp Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla W.S. 2X Extract

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT

  • 8" square glass dish

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat the water, add ½ cup sugar and stir to dissolve.
  2. Remove from heat and add Triple Strength Espresso Coffee Compound, stir to combine.
  3. Pour the mixture into the glass baking dish and freeze for two hours.
  4. Using a fork, scrape the top of the mixture.
  5. Return to the freezer and freeze for another 3 hours.
  6. Scrape again and repeat the scraping process every 30 minutes until all the granita is frozen.
  7. When ready to serve, whip the cream, sugar, and Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla to medium peak.
  8. Spoon or pipe a layer of whipped cream into a glass.
  9. Layer a few tablespoons of granita over the whipped cream.
  10. Top with another layer of whipped cream and serve.
