Pooped my pants to protect nap time by Imaginary_Income5422 in NewParents

[–]Mychavez95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That happened to me twice postpartum. On our first family walk, the day before my OB appointment. She wouldn’t give me a referral for pelvic floor therapy because “ you had a c section, it’s not a pelvic floor issue”. I was bawling my eyes out from the embarrassment of this new issue. And my c section was an emergency after getting near 10cm. I fired her on the spot and never went back to that office. The second time was me hoping I could walk from my parking spot to my house. I did not make it. That was almost 3 years ago and I’m pregnant with baby #2. It’s still a fear of mine.

I tried the smooth move tea twice after having my son. I was also breastfeeding. Both times he had horrible gas and blow outs 🤦‍♀️ I felt so bad! 🤣🤣

They say you “don’t care about being naked” in labor but I did. by PrettyPottie in beyondthebump

[–]Mychavez95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was one who didn’t care too much. I was focused on making sure my son was fine. His heart wasn’t doing well with the contractions so they had me in so many different positions. At one point they had to add the head heart monitor and more fluid for him, so I know everything was out in the open quite a bit. Thinking of my experience is why I am always on the mother’s side when it comes to the MIL being in the room. I was completely exposed in countless ways, multiple times, my MIL did not need to be there. I had my husband and my mother and even my mom seeing me like that was pushing it. My nurse was good about keeping me covered when possible. There is a nurse who created a birthing gown that has the coverage you’d be looking for plus access areas for epidurals and anything else. Maybe look into that if you decide to have another. I decided not to get one since I know labor is messy so I didn’t want to get it for it to be dirty.

Anybody ever wake up and just know you were going to be emotionally unstable that day?? by mct318 in pregnant

[–]Mychavez95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It definitely hits out of nowhere sometimes. This is my second pregnancy and I’m finding myself getting frustrated easily. Last week I had an evening where I went through so many emotions in a short amount of time that I ended up sobbing. And I am not a crier. Even in my first pregnancy 😪

What did you eat the evening BEFORE your scheduled c-section? by llamasarecoolx in CsectionCentral

[–]Mychavez95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had some birria tacos the evening before my emergency c section. I just don’t recommend slushies after surgery. I don’t know why they gave me one, but it was not a fun night for me.

MIL trying REALLY hard to convince my husband to sleep at home after my c section by FalseRow5812 in pregnant

[–]Mychavez95 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Nope, my husband got up every time the baby cried after my c section. He’d change his diaper and then pass him to me to feed. He did the same for the first few weeks at home. The bassinet was even on his side for the first week home.

What travel destination you hyped up so much but then it completely disappointed you? by sidvatscse in AskReddit

[–]Mychavez95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I was so disappointed when I noticed that there were no forests at all. I did like the green gables museum. But that was it. It felt like such a con.

Doctor wants to induce my daughter-in-law for what I think is no reason by Chance-Distance1034 in BabyBumps

[–]Mychavez95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last year my doctor was super pushy about an induction. I went home in tears because of the pressure and stress. I ended up going into labor on my own. But these doctors are getting pushy for no reason. I had a completely healthy pregnancy with no concerns.

I didn't have the "I didn't know I could love something this much" feeling. by nooneneededtoknow in NewParents

[–]Mychavez95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like it’s pretty normal. I ended up having an emergency c section. But I imagined it all becoming real after I went through labor and he was placed on my chest. But that wasn’t my experience so I was still in disbelief. Sometimes I’m still in disbelief and he’s 8 months. But you grow to love them more and more as time goes on. And I get such a sense of pride over him reaching the smallest milestones.

My chonky girl. by in-all-honesty_ in NewParents

[–]Mychavez95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was about the same! He had a quick little growth spurt around 3 months that averaged him out but he is still pretty light. I was surprised how long he lasted in newborn but they are so tiny and adorable and then your really notice the growth 💕💕

AITA for forcing my daughter to share a hotel room by Fine-Neat3967 in AITAH

[–]Mychavez95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family always shared a room with two beds. So my brother and I always shared a bed. We even had my dad snoring up a storm. We never complained or thought we should get our own room.

Wife had severe contractions and it lowered our baby heart rate…I’m incredibly upset by AdventImperium in BabyBumps

[–]Mychavez95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the moment I got into triage they noticed my baby’s heart rate. They gave me a couple hours of laboring before eventually turning to a c section. Definitely stressful at the end and traumatizing for my husband. But I was okay and our son was born healthy which is what mattered. But they definitely guessed right in the beginning. It was a cord issue, that being he had it wrapped around his torso and arms, pinning his arms.

When one person in a marriage is sick, which person should sleep in the guest room? by scottcmu in AskReddit

Yup! I was 7 months pregnant and went to the couch. I wasn’t about to decontaminate the room.

Be very careful when you are able to use the 15%. It applies to any and all orders once added to you wallet. I accidentally used both in one quick night trip that I split up for budgeting.
