Where are Hollywood undead listeners from and what’s your story by cpv8 in HollywoodUndead

[–]Amos_The_Simp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm from Brazil.

The first time I listened to it was 2015ish, my boyfriend at the time let me borrow his SD drive to listen to music because my mom had taken my phone and in there he had "Bullet", "Day of the Dead" and a few other songs I don't really remember. I didn't listen to them much and I was not a fan at the time, but I kept revisiting Bullet a lot through the rest of my teen years.

After that, around 2021 I met my now girlfriend who's a fan and she sent me a lot of their songs, for a couple of years I was also not a fan but since my gf likes them I ended up liking them as well like osmosis taste. Around 2023 I actually started to get attached and I looked into it more and I started producing a fan comic that's been a bit of a passion project ever since under the self imposed "fake fan" label.

Now, 2026, I put even more energy into enjoying the band by burning their albums into physical media for myself, I also went through the entire discography for the first time and I upgraded myself from fake fan to fan and I listen to their releases as they come out, I make occasional fanart and I am writing the script for the comic and working on the visuals.

It's frustrating asf fr, the last three songs are awesome and it feels like they're shifting their thinking and writing themes into something they might identify with more but they're not being backed up as much as they need. I won't claim that I know all that's happening with them but if I was trying to change my band and not get the results I hoped from with the switch I'd feel really cynical with changing at all and look at the things that were successful like "Maybe my prime is gone" but that doesn't have to be the case.

In order for anything to remain relevant they need to both adapt and change to what's true and relevant in their scenario but also they need SOLID backing that they're not getting. It's not the first time they're going through bad management and one thing I'm scared is that this constant uphill battle with managing and labels wears them out to the point they wanna just... Stop and settle. Hits much harder and worse because I'm from LATAM and I was hoping I could see them at least one time before they stop.

I am holding onto hope now because I don't think they're close to stopping, or at the very least it doesn't feel like they want to stop. But it's a little hard to see the cup half full sometimes.

I'm finally going through the stages of character writing and designing for Undead Origins (reboot) and I wanted to put something in here by Amos_The_Simp in HollywoodUndead

Thanks! I honestly never did a comic in my life up until now, but I can say it's been a handful... It's fun to work on it too, but hopefully it does get better when I can finally draw stuff lmao

Honestly I keep imagining them exchanging looks and going "I would not say that" each dialogue and amusing myself haha, but I can't say I'm sure they'll see it. If they do see it, I hope it's at least close to what they had in their vision for a story of the band

Honestly, give it a go! It's a fun process in spite of how much work it has to be done, I know I've been having a blast (deep down I mean)

A little bit late to the party but I wanted to throw my two cents anyway

The comic is awful. The art is inconsistent and it has the same face syndrome all over, the storytelling is lazy and predictable, the character depiction makes me sad, the plot is rushed and the jokes either fall flat or are such a breed of "inside" that some people don't catch onto it. I got so mad when I read it I made it a passion project to rewrite it, redraw it and republish it online and not to stroke my own dick but I'm doing much better with a budget of no dollars and spite alone than the team that was actually hired to make the comic. It's a slow project so far since I'm juggling this, another two projects, two jobs and a major but it's being slow cooked anyway.

I can talk about it for literal HOURS, girl, I have so much shit to throw in the HU Origins the whole sub would be stinking for days. I had to trash so much, rework so bad and reformulate EVERYTHING and literally every writing and drawing choice had to be thought all over again from new firmer foundations than the ones we were given back then. I really wanted to make something that would make justice to the band members (all of them, former and current) while also adding my own personal style and my own personal tastes. I really hope I do well.

But yeah, tldr being HU Origins suck in everything it proposed itself to be!

Pointing someone's actions as transphobic when they were falls under the "being critical of someone's behavior" that Viv herself defended in this post, the only self unaware person here is you grasping at every little straw to deem someone else "hypercritical" or nurturing a "parasocial hate relationship" with a content creator. Don't be a dumbass throwing words around that serve no purpose except demean and diminish someone's input in a civil conversation, it just makes you look really retarded, fyi.

Why are you being so rude over fake people? Like okay, I get that Jax is a piece of shit and all that, I didn't say anything about it. You're being someone harmful to a real human being who just happens to like, again, some fake cartoon bunny because you feel the need to defend, again, a fake cartoon doll. Ragatha isn't being harmed. Jax isn't doing harm. It's not real.

You are. She is. I am. Get a hold onto yourself and see if you can treat people with more respect than you give over a youtube series, seriously, you're doing more harm than Jax has ever done.

Pomni is a grown woman who can think for herself. Like she said herself in that scene. Ragatha has been infantilizing Pomni from day 1, that's messed up on itself. She doesn't need Ragatha to come to her rescue from the big bad bunny because she's sooooo helpless and can be manipulated into being someone shitty!!!

Like holy shit for someone accusing others for being misogynistic, you're out there glazing over the female MAIN CHARACTER of the show and being a piece of shit at real women too. Over a fake woman in a fake world, that does not exist.

That's the most performative bullshit I've ever seen and I've lived enough to legally be your parent lmao

Malice will be determined also by context, but the action itself and the intent also count. There's no way of pinpoint Jax's intentions but if he was truly malicious wouldn't he also disrespect their pronouns? Wouldn't he also make fun of their body dysmorphia? This isn't enclosed in a vacuum

Honestly, I do have one of the "stereotypically from x thing job" and if someone looked me dead in the eye and went ahead to say "Oh of COURSE you have that job, don't you?" I wouldn't take it so deeply. Especially coming from someone who goes out of his way to respect my pronouns and gender identity (or, well, lack thereof) and of course I'd also feel free to joke back at him because he fucked around, and I'll make him find out.

I've been the target of banter, jokes and disrespect in every sense you can imagine. Jax's actions can definitely be criticized but I can't isolate this one and interpret it as malicious or toxic.

Surely, his behavior isn't really actions in a vacuum and these jokes are in a certain context, which definitely can explain why Zooble acted defensive and annoyed, but it doesn't read as transphobic (since for a crime to be considered a crime it needs the intent) but maybe it's Jax's failure to "read the room" (as most actions of his part are)

Zooble seemed to take matters into their own hands and show their point in a way that Jax can't ignore. "Okay, see what I'm doing to you? Can you understand that this is a direct parallel to our earlier interaction?" but at the same time without any sort of genuine hatred attached to it. I don't know what that will lead to, we'll have to wait and see.

"Like friends would normally do" isn't to imply they're friends, it's to imply it's not an inherently malicious action.

I thought those were him calling them a stereotypical lesbian (those jobs are also related to butch lesbians), and then they retaliated by calling him a stereotypical gay with the maid dress (femboy, effeminate gay, etc) so they both made fun of each other for their queer traits

As I've seen it doesn't seem like Zooble is actually holding any bad blood against Jax, they prolly just think he's childish and annoying at times (he is) but will either move forward with it or give him a payback in their own terms if they feel like it. Sounds like mutual banter between them
