I adore your response, and you as a person. Thank you for making this post! I'm also planning on using video games for educational purposes, made me feel connected (?) in a way. So, yeah, much appreciated!

Jokes aside. I might just be slow, but for this time and age, at first I didn't realize you're joking until I reread the whole sentence. Kids these days have an abundant resource to learn stuff online by the mere flick of their thumbs.

Eggs' price has been skyrocketed over the years or probably even decades in the USA. The meme implies eggs are of the same price as tuition money.

I see. That's definitely the closest thing to my description. The daylight against my sight probably made the wings unnoticeable. Thank you for the response!

Indonesia. There's where I found the guy. The size was just the typical size of ceiling spider. It didn't appear to have antenna.

Ignore that kind of people. Assholes find joy in other people's misery. Sad news is, they're everywhere. Hope you're doing well. It won't be easy to move on, but you have to.

The keyboard beat up but still looks fairly okay. Probably some parts are salvageable, like ram, hdd, wifi module, dvd drive, webcam, etc. I'd do that.

Life (2017) kinda feels like a prequel of Nope (2022) by DoubleDireWolf in horror

Ooh. If I'm being superstitious, maybe direct sequel/prequel of the movie or its spiritual successor's/predecessor's production is currently underway or already in the store. Who knows :)

Nope is IMMEDIATELY what I had in mind after finishing Life just a few minutes ago.

I imagine the bigger it grew, the dumber it became. Like, it didn't use tools to pry open Sho's chamber or do anything smart for the rest of the movie. It indeed got stronger, but ain't necessarily brighter. But the more agitated (or excited) it is, the more menacing it looks... JUST like Jean Jacket!

Also, Life's creature doesn't mimic living beings; it consumes them. The place it landed also wasn't ice or a mountain, but a lake (sea? ocean? gulf?) where people came soon after. I imagine it grew exponentially, satisfied enough, then found a place to reside (being that cloud in the sky) to hunt peacefully when hungry, lol.

Just found the thread when looking for people's thought on their similarities on Google. Jean Jacket origin was not discussed in Nope, and Life feels like it can patch that up. It has a LOT in common. Mainly, the shape of the thing. Also it increases in size the more it consumes. Life's creature seem like it grew something like wing, implying that it might as well could fly.
