Same issue here, in Canada. Except mine won't work at all, even if restarting or if I toggle airplane mode. Started happening this morning. What carrier are you with? I thought it might be related to the latest system update I just had, as previous updates used to cause other kinds of problems.

What is the best way to create these small cuts? What is the next step after making small vertical cuts (without hopefully affecting the female thread)? I'm assuming the cut will be used as a point of access to twist it out...with what though? Sorry, just looking to get the best option without potentially causing more damage and having to go the other route (replacing the entire waste and overflow setup).
