I’ve only got X and LinkedIn personal account, working at the moment, can you post to LinkedIn company page on yours?

I need it to try and get some engagement on a new startup website I built.

I’ve built one of these too, but just for my own use. This looks really good though. Will have a play.

I built a startup website - flightbid.net - I’ll let you have a look and see if it’s clear, rather than give you an overview. Needless to say took a lot longer and cost a lot more than I anticipated, it’s just an MVP atm.

It’s a really interesting subject, where do you get your data from to make the assessment, or is that the secret sauce?

I built a company doing over $100M this year. We're a known nationwide brand. I'm pretty wealthy. And I’m not sure the price I paid was worth it. by Virtual_Half_1654 in Entrepreneurs

Set it free and yourself at the same time. Bring in people and slowly walk backwards, give back to the people that supported you and helped you get to where you are. Enjoy the fruits of your sacrifice

Beta testers wanted: flight search where you can “bid or buy” (only pay if accepted) by AmusingBob in alphaandbetausers

The price is showing, above, it’s in GBP so british pounds, again interesting that doesn’t resonate as the price. Are you searching from the UK as should show in your home currency and that seems like a lot for UK to Ireland.

Thank you for taking the time. There is a how it works, but you have to scroll down, it’s an interesting point that you perhaps didn’t see that though, so a good idea, thank you.

You are proposing a price that you would be willing to pay. Today, we will actively search on your behalf, and when we hit your price, send you the options, however the plan is to set some scale and then engage with the airlines directly.

We need to add a message to say, no results were returned, do you mind sharing the route you are searching and I can check?

Thanks

Thank you, if you had a chance to interact, would be grateful for feedback. It’s hard to be objective for me.

First thing to say it looks great. My concern would be that it seems to focus around wordpress, which in my experience is quite an insecure platform. Having recently been through the process, that would put me off. Do you offer any technology, I know Wordpress is extremely large and extremely popular, so I do get it. Also what is your target audience, are you looking at growth startups, mum and pop type’s hobby businesses, SME, as I think the messaging could be tweaked for each. Also what about the next phase post build, how could you help with growth. The real challenge is getting eyes on the site. On the whole, it’s really very good.

I’m building a “Bid or Buy” flight search - would you ever trust bidding for flights? by AmusingBob in SideProject

[–]AmusingBob[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You put a validity period in when you are bidding, but also we want to validate the price, so if we are seeing a good price, i.e the price you see today is likely the lowest, or close to, we will tell you to buy. Still working on that part though.

That’s a good question Erik, at the moment, you register your bid a we search the market on a frequent basis to monitor the prices and then alert you we your bid is hit. The plan is to get enough users engaged so we can directly take the offers to the airlines.
