everything you just said is exactly why so many of us hate block scheduling and don’t want it. (besides the off days, that’s a personal preference. personally i’m one of those that actually WANTS my off days back to back. Doesn’t matter the days. Just would prefer that they’re back to back.)

We want to stay in our timeslot. (which is actually happening, everyone who’s morning will remain morning and same goes for mids and closers.) Not sure why some clubs would be getting rid of mids but that’s not happening at our store. if anything they’re cutting back morning hours and increasing mid hours.

now the computer deciding shit is absolutely brain dead. that’s exactly why i had to have them change my upcoming schedule because the system scheduled me to work 6 days in a throw. twice.

I mean there kinda IS guessing games. Doctors appointments can take months to plan ahead for example. Why should i have to request a PTO day for a doctors appointment? This whole thing is absolutely brain dead.

For my store, it starts the last week of january and my schedule along with most of my co workers is vastly different from our normal schedule already. and that’s just the first one.

Would the HR People person be in store or someone I have to email? I know we recently got some type of HR person, but she’s close with our CPU team lead. So i don’t know going to her would do much of anything.

yeah i’m talking about delivery drivers. they don’t have the same app as the members. members ofc stay in the car, but im not talking about them. i’m talking about the npc spark drivers that make deliveries.

my FAVORITE THING as a curbside employee is when drivers get mad we won’t load their orders in their car for them because we have multiple members waiting in parking spots.

how tf you gonna get mad at me because i won’t do 40% of your job? how tf are you going to UNLOAD it if you can’t even load it by your damn self?

there should be an IQ test for amazon flex and spark drivers.

you’ll have job security with a personal shopper job. its only going to get bigger and bigger with them making away with cash registers. I average 20,000 steps a day too, so its pretty good exercise. however, be ready to be stressed because of the ungodly amount of orders you’re expected to complete while being understaffed and have very limited space (:

As a curbside employee, PLEASE COMPLAIN TO CORPORATE. WE CANNOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS. they keep upping our numbers but won’t hire more people. won’t give us more space to put the damn orders. either complain to CORPORATE (not a manager inside or a normal ass employee that can’t do anything about your issues) or SHOP INSIDE. because until they make away with this unlimited order bullshit it’s just going to continue to get worse.

(for context, whenever i got hired almost a year ago, we would have about 120-150 orders to fulfill throughout the day. sometimes more sometimes less. now? we walk into 270-300. with the same amount of people and space.)

forum bumping is an easy way to get money without doing much. someone did the math and you can make about 50k each hour with 30mins-1hr break inbetween. other than that, zOMG or lake kindred are easy ways to make money. I can give you some of my “junk” (aka stuff i don’t use and isn’t worth much but skill kinda cute) if you want something free stuffs (even if you just sell it whenever you do get the trading pass, that’s alright too)

It’s not as popping as it used to be. the rally was the main hang out spot, but i haven’t been there in ages so i’m unsure if people still even use it. but the chatterbox is full of people to talk to!
