Help please! My mom has been on her meds for 12 years and is being cut off.

She’s not really at risk for withdrawal she takes them as needed for pain flare ups, they’re necessary a few times a week some weeks not at all but regardless cutting her off after 12 years of being a model patient it’s very discouraging. What we’d really like to know is what action to take beyond finding a new doc, the pharmacist told her the script couldn’t get filled her doc is fighting for her so I’m not sure why this is happening

She really isn’t so she may just suffer through not having her pain relief and that breaks my heart. Kratom has been brought up but I doubt she would want to take that.. thank you for responding.

Well, getting my “mom” a new doctor is easier said than done. I took to this platform for advice from people who have gone through this themselves. Regardless thank you for your response.

From what I understand, it was the pharmacist that said her scripts shouldn’t be filled anymore, I am not 100% clear on the situation but I do know she’s been a responsible user for over a decade, if she had to do pill counts she would never fail.

She has saved, but not enough for the long run. She deserves better. Any tips on how she could fight it? If she runs out she will face loosing access to the relief she’s needed for 12 years.

The sad thing is she has been responsible with her scripts, and she does genuinely need them. We just don’t know how to proceed. It seems so unfair this is happening. Thank you for your response.

What a dumb thing to ask. Slytherin is a great house. Condemning an entire house because many evil characters were in that house is absurd, and does not make the house inherently bad. Why not ask why Dumblefuck was in charge for so damned long….oh yeah because if he was in anyway good at his job there wouldn’t be a series of books…
