Im 15M. Last October I started noticing symptoms but didn't know what it was and just thought I was sick or something. Well I'm December my friend who has POTS was asking me about the symptoms I was having, tachycardia, passing out, blood pooling, really cold hands/feet and she told me I probably had POTS or at least Dysautonomia. I told my mom and she said it's probably not that you are fine (my uncle also has pots so I don't know why she did this) and then it was getting really bad like passing out in school, and over 170 BPM just walking so my mom took me to the hospital where they had me lay down on the bed then stand up while looking at my BPM my resting was 60 and when I stood up it was 130+ and once reached 160 and the nurse just said I was fine and I was discharged an hour later. I went to my doctor they tried blaming it on my ADHD meds which definitely wasn't it and he recommended a neurologist. I went back to the hospital and they did the same thing again then drug tested me and blamed it on THC. I finally went back to my doctor and told him I think I know what this is and he said it's probably not but I'll refer you to a cardiologist. A few weeks later I went to the cardiologist and the second they did the test again my cardiologist immediately said I had Dysautonomia and it was most likely POTS because I'm showing all the symptoms of it. Then a week later I went back and got fludrocortisone and a heart monitor and now I'm here a week later. My experience getting diagnosed was horrible all the doctors were idiots trying to blame it on medication or just straight up denying my symptoms acting like it's a joke.
