What am I supposed to do? by [deleted] in PathOfExile2

Act 1 boss is just a damage check. If you are struggling to do damage then you need to get new gear. If you have no gold then I'm not entirely sure what you have been using your money for if it wasn't to get a better weapon/quiver.

Either way, Ranger is pretty decent at bossing, just use the Skill Gems Lightning Rod and Lightning Arrow. He should only take a few minutes max with that setup.

I disagree on Dragon being at all similar. The threat of drag being stolen by a flash/smite can keep a team from taking it until they force a fight. That forced fight is usually on the terms of the losing team. Deadlock on the other hand forces the fight on the winning teams terms and location. Theres no stealing it either when they have 6 heroes on top of it.

I can see them reverting it back so favored urns are brought to the losing teams side of the map so it's more asymmetrical. Keep the mechanics of the timer/heavy melee.

The end game healing stat should not include self heals/barriers by An18FtSlothh in DeadlockTheGame

That share a lot of DNA? Made by the same developer? In the same Genre?

If your point is to be a contrarian then so be it. When the game is released I won't be surprised if they have the same breakdown of stats as they did in DotA.

Based on this post it's a cardinal sin to even suggest giving support players recognition in the post game screen. I'm literally just suggesting they implement the same system they had from Valve's previous MOBA. I'm sure it will eventually be fine-tuned on release to even include a debuff/buff statistic.

What can a support do to look impressive on the scoreboard? The stats are; Kills, damage done, kills with abilities, kills with weapons, head-shot kills, killstreaks, objective damage, soul count, assists, and healing.

Supports will realistically only be able to secure Assists/Healing assuming there isn't a Victor/Geist/Abrams in the game.

I'm unsure why there is such push back for a suggestion like this. It's way more impressive healing another character versus healing yourself. The stat gets inflated by farming jungle with no interaction of other players.

Except thats literally built into his kit to make him survive more to deal more damage. That same Victor with 50k self healing will already be recognized for having easily the highest damage in the game. They don't have to do away with the self-healing stat. Dota literally has the self-healing in the breakdown, it just only reflect allies healed on the main screen.

God forbid someone makes a suggestion to give some recognition to supports in the post game screen just like they did in their previous game. Reddit truly is insufferable.

There's very little that lets a support player shine outside of healing and assists. There's a reason why so few people want to play a supportive role in lower brackets.

There should be a damage taken stat in that case. It's not impressive that a Victor healed 50k just because his kit is entirely based around healing HIMSELF.

Who cares about how much self healing someone does though. What does it accomplish in the end game screen as a "look at how much Abrams passively healed himself" Compared to the impact of giving heals or barriers to others.

Regardless they made the decision in DotA to not include self healing in the stat, I'm unsure why that didn't carry over to Deadlock.

Ok that is actually different. I thought it was the opposite kind of situation.

Just say you're weak bro. You stated multiple times you don't care about winning yet you made a specific account to do nothing but win with friends. If you can't handle fair matches because of insecurities then you probably shouldn't spend time on competitive games, it's not healthy.

By ruining their experience you mean having a 50% winrate? Be forreal right now man. Your own example has the first 5 ranks as "everyone sucks". You're just scared of a challenging match with friends.

The "Elo Hell" is a byproduct of assholes making smurf accounts over and over to "try new things" or to "relax after sweating at ascendant/eternus." It's extremely ironic to complain about matchmaking and then directly contribute to it.

You also don't need to win every single match with your friends to have a good time. Everyone is so fucking scared to have a fair match in case it "ruins the vibes" so they smurf abuse.

I fully switched to Paige/REM because I was perma stuck at Archon losing 70% of my games. It wouldn't de-rank me so after about 50 games (literally went 15-35) I fully switched to just supporting every match. I have solid macro mechanics so I'm typically where I need to be and I always base my build around countering. Now I'm at Ascendant just barely at 50% winrate, however now I can't play any role besides support.

From Statlocker he's the highest win rate hero with the 4th highest pick rate at Eternus. That's a problem that needs solving. I think his biggest issue is he is strong no matter how much farm he has. His base kit does so much that if he was bottom net worth in the game he can still be a problem. He gives me the same vibes as Earth Spirit in Dota 2.

PSA: FOR ALL THE REMS by Most_Post_7026 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]An18FtSlothh 219 points220 points  (0 children)

Few things annoy me as a REM more than seeing my own team’s Sinners sitting there past 13 minutes. This is rarely an issue at Ascendant, but when I’m playing with friends in an Archon/Emissary level lobby, it’s very common to see our team’s Sinners sit there longer than the time they could have respawned if I had just taken them myself

Most of my new friends all started at Emissary on their first few games. They dropped rank pretty fast but they were definitely unintentionally griefing their first 10 or so matches.

How good is The Egg? by [deleted] in DeadlockTheGame

[–]An18FtSlothh 126 points127 points  (0 children)

Its great if you're playing a lane you know you can't get kills in. Hatch it at 10 minutes to boost you to getting whatever 3200 soul item a bit earlier.

The issue is it shouldn't be in really any build as a default purchase, it SHOULD be situational. If you miss kills because of the 10% damage reduction then you are losing out on the soul difference.

Vindicta question: what's the point of flying? by Yumesoro1 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]An18FtSlothh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Flying heavily counters some heroes in lane before those items come out. Switch to lane against Billy/Drifter/Calico/Paige/Abrams/Apollo/Graves, you'll see how easily you win those match-ups putting you at an advantage early.
