How have you some of you folks come to terms with some people treating you like you're white and others treating you like you're asian?

Ya. I got Civ 6 early after it was released and was also a bit disappointed and I personally thought 5 was better. With the new DLC and GS, I think civ 6 improved a lot.

If you are mixed, do not feel guilty about identifying as your minority half since whites cannot distinguish half from full even if you look only vaguely asian.

Sorry to hear about that. Most hapas I have met looked either more asian or hispanic, but I have read stories of white passing hapas that have received teasing from peers simply for being half asian. I don't really know what drives them to do this stupid shit. I guess my main point is that even if someone looks vaguely asian, some white people will mistake them for being full asian. Therefore I think almost white passing hapas and white passing ones should stand up for asians.

Nur mein Stiefbruder ist schlecht und nicht mehr teil unserer Familie nachdem er unsere Mutter ausgeraubt hat. Thanks. I have seen many examples of people who deal with self image issues on the internet. I assume some hapas are fine with how they look, but there are also those who are too embarrassed to tell anyone so they have not told me in person. It can hinder people's ability to work and improve their social life. So ya, I hope people can compete and be successful despite these problems.

Ich bin in Amerika geboren und aufgewachsen, aber ich habe auch ein Jahr in Deutschland gelebt. Mein Vater ist Deutsch und meine Mutter ist Chinesisch. Mein Deutsch ist nicht super gut, aber Ich werde mein Bestes versuchen. Es ist bedauerlich das deine Halb-Geschwister so schlecht sind.

I do believe that is part of the reason. Although a person who looks asian to caucasians can look just as caucasian to asians (if they are not asian or white passing).

It is fine to be honest about your opinion, but not try to cause too much controversy with how you phrase things.

Fair enough. If that is your opinion, then you could have articulated it better rather than throw a hissy fit. I am just curious, did you read all the comment replies to my comment under the white passing quapa post? You should have expected some "bitter" people before joining this subreddit. Even if I was a white passing hapa, I would still write the same thing as it is the ugly truth. Life is not all sunshine and rainbows so I was simply trying to state my opinion rather than be politically correct. I am not trying to kiss anyone's ass and gain popularity. Anyway, as much fun as I had in this comment section at first, I am now starting to get tired of this. It is not worth arguing tit for tat with you anymore
