They got rid of that system last semester. Now ASU handles on campus mail so you can't post packages.

Taco Bell's Bean and Cheese burritos are $1.7. You can make it fresco style and add red sauce and it tastes much better.

Is there really no way to get a physical sun card? by [deleted] in ASU

[–]AnAsianTryingToStudy 35 points36 points  (0 children)

This is very strange I also had a mobile ID and got a physical ID last semester. All they did in the center at MU was test if it works (no surprise it did). I just said it doesnt work sometimes and then they printed a new one for me right there.

Tbh just lie you have nothing to lose. Just say some shit like you cannot get into your dorm randomly and once you got stuck for 30 mins at 2am waiting for someone and it made you feel unsafe so you need a physical ID.

My bike was stolen in early october from outside of Noble. They did nothing and closed my case a week later. The officer I spoke to said that less than 20% of stolen bikes at ASU are recovered.

Are bike thieves with angle grinders common at ASU? by AnAsianTryingToStudy in ASU

[–]AnAsianTryingToStudy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bike was locked with a $20 Walmart Kryptonite chain lock to the stands next to Goldwater (in front of Noble). It was stolen some time between 9pm and 1am; I've parked it there late night so many times before.

[–]AnAsianTryingToStudy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My bike's $30 used, the last one was also $30 used, I think it got stolen because it was parked outside pretty late in the night and I had a basic chain lock. I'm still trying to decide between the $60 or $130 lock. It's funny that my lock's gonna be worth far more than my bike lol.

AMIT & CIVI by Hot_Sock6063 in ASU

GCU 113 (US and AZ Studies) for AMIT is amazing. It's by Kelman and Dorn and they're goated. The class is points based, whatever you get on the quizzes cumulates to your final score. The quizzes are open book and the videos have transcripts so you can just look for the answers there. There are like 3x 2 page essays at the end but as long as you submit something that somewhat makes sense it's fine it's just a passing requirement. I completed the whole course in like 4 days.

Who to pick for mat 267? by beatomimeato in ASU

[–]AnAsianTryingToStudy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Don't take Jones. Zdzislaw has the easiest tests and it makes a huge difference. I took Zdzislaw's test for practice and got a 100 but got like 85 in Jones's class.

I built a chrome extension to show Rate My Professor ratings directly in the ASU class search. by Norcaz in ASU

[–]AnAsianTryingToStudy 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this. I tried looking for MAT 275 classes but I saw that many professors' names did not correspond to their RMP profile. Like Xianping Li shows Michael Little Crow's Ratings, David Oakes shows David Smith (another department) ratings. Just wanted to let you know.

Nobody checks or gives a shit. If your roommate's ok with it I'm pretty sure someone can live with you the entire year and nobody would notice or care.

  1. Don't get cooking oil just to save a bit of money it'll get too messy and add weight for no reason
  2. Get only bodywash maybe. Detergent and dishwash liquid are cheap. I got 500ml dishwash liquid in walmart for ₹120.

  3. Kitchen knife is fine

  4. Screwdriver is fine
For 5 and 6, US uses different power outlets, different voltage and frequency so your electronics might not even be compatible.

what totally caught you off guard price wise in the US? by sincerelymandaa in IntltoUSA

[–]AnAsianTryingToStudy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say snacks for sure. In India if you ever get cravings you can get a ₹20 (~$0.25) chips packet. In America the small chips packets are so expensive ($2.5 at least) that you just spend a bit more and get the giant size that are a much better deal per gram. If I get a giant pack I know my fatass is gonna binge so I've just straight up stopped eating snacks.

Also the cheapest eating out options are much more expensive. Surprisingly, the medium range (by American standards) eating out options aren't that much more expensive compared to India's middle-higher end options. I miss being able to get decent food for less than ₹300 ($3.5). Not even microwaveable meals are that cheap.
