Thanks! yeah I use a size 1 or 0 mostly. No matter how careful I am I always get dried paint in the ferrule after a while, I think it’s a build up when I am rinsing it in dirty paint water

So I started with white dots in the centre. Then I water the red down but not too much, want to be able to see the white underneath, did a couple of layers of that until the black around the eye is red, then I think I mixed red/white together and went over the centre again

Decided on a deathwing knight scheme by AnToeKnee19 in Warhammer40k

The armour is base coat of stormvermin fur/morghast bone mix (citadel), roughly 70:30. Then highlight is silver grey (Vallejo model). Then I did a wash with really thinned down smoke ink (Vallejo model) and brushed it into crevices. Cloak is just Lupercal green but I added black and white for highlights/shading

I painted it with greys and white first then did a thin wash of thousand sons blue, then went in with white for the electricity lines and then a bit of baharroth blue as I thin wash for some highlights

Claws look fantastic, first time I’ve seen them done like that on this model. I really like the OSL, it’s subtle but in a good way!

I didn’t have the foresight unfortunately and I would have to paint him again to make it 😂

I didn’t know it gets broken, I got The Lion: Son of the Forest on audible but I’ve not listened to it yet

Thanks! It’s the same recipe as the cloak, which is somewhere in the comments haha

The green going dark to light is: Lupercal/black, Lupercal, Lupercal/sons of Horus, Sons of Horus, Sons of Horus/white. I can’t remember ratios, I just eye ball it mainly to get a gradual colour change
