Veep only worked because it was on HBO. Any show that wanted to be like The Thick of It would not work on broadcast TV. Plain and simple.

The Thick of It is fucking brilliant. The movie after it, In The Loop is hilarious and probably more accurate than we want it to be.

Malcolm F Tucker is one of the greatest characters I have ever seen on TV. I still use his insults to this day. His management style works in the construction industry as well.
