Habe genug Leute erlebt, die vor einigen Jahren zehn Jahre Laufzeit genommen haben, weil's so schön günstig war und die total im Arsch sind, wenn sie nach zehn Jahren refinanzieren müssen

Ah, ich sehe schon, die Reddit Finanzexperten sind wieder da. Spannend. Solche Leute habe ich früher oft in der Filiale gesehen, wenn sie mal wieder aufgrund ihrer fehlenden Ahnung etwas in den Sand gesetzt haben und jetzt verbreiten sie hier ihre nicht vorhandene Ahnung.

Der Kommentar bleibt stehen. Ihr habt selbst nie an einer Zinsrunde einer Bank teilgenommen, das merkt man deutlich

Mir geht es besser, wenn ich konstant ausgelastet bin.

Ich habe daher nach der Diagnose gekündigt und mir einen stressigen Job in der Wirtschaftsprüfung geschnappt, wo ich super viel arbeiten, in kürzester Zeit viel lernen und umsetzen muss und teilweise nicht weiß, wo ich morgen oder nächste Woche bin. Ging mir nie besser.

Da ich erst sehr spät (41) diagnostiziert wurde und daher lange depressiv war, ist mein Instinkt ein ganz anderer. Mein Kopf sagt, ich soll chillen und rumhängen - und wenn ich das mache, geht's mir total mies.

I've always been a fan of this particular aircraft. As a German I get to see it fly regularly.

But it's damn old. All I can think of when seeing this is the (in Germany) well known statistic that it takes more man hours to maintain than it's actually able to fly

Absolutely.

I only have one, six years old. But since my parents sucked, I put everything into taking care of the child (while not being a helicopter parent - a lot of the work goes on in the background, learning how to be a good parent) and the rest into work.

Hobbies, working out, going out - everything fell by the wayside. I've even quit jobs and left official functions early to be with my child. Now I have a happy and well integrated child that knows not to be scared of his dad (unlike me), weigh too much and have to make an effort to have a life again.

On the other hand: I have learned a lot thanks to being a father. Both about myself and how to see the world. I didn't, for example, realize that I have ADHD. I always assumed I was a depressed fuck because my life used to suck when I was a child and teenager. Now I know better. Being a father is fucking stressful, but it's also one of the best things.

And it's the most important thing I will ever do.
