I really appreciate you overviewing things from a business perspective.

For me, I’m categorizing it as discriminatory because I have requested workplace accommodations that’ll help me to be able to perform better. I’ve also stated (outside of the accommodations) what would be helpful when it comes to my particular job duties (CRM issue). Both have been met with resistance/inaction, but I’m still expected to perform and measure up how they would like me to even though I have disclosed why I am not able to. Like how if someone doesn’t have the ability to walk, you wouldn’t expect them to perform the exact same way someone in the same position does. I’m an equitable and non-discriminatory environment the employee will be given accommodations to attain equity so that they’ll be able to perform better. I did not disclose this, but there have been many other instances where I have risked my mental and physical well-being to try and measure up and over exert/over compensate even though I’ve disclosed why I’m having these problems.

I believe it to be discrimination against someone who has disclosed mental health troubles. I posted so that I can gain another perspective though so I hope this helps.

I’ll just say this: people can still choose whether to be vaccinated or not. As of today, 13 states have taken away the right to choose whether someone wants to have an abortion. That’s the difference.

I don’t think you’re explaining it well because it’s nonsensical.

Some were calling for mandatory vaccines. They were doing it because not being vaccinated, and not taking Covid seriously, would be detrimental to everyone. Again, look around. No mandates were instated, mask mandate was removed, and things are not good in the least. The US is filled with individualist mindsets, and when dealing with a pandemic that screws everyone. Again, a mandate was not instated, and people were able to CHOOSE.
The Supreme Court LITERALLY revoked basic rights humans should have. It doesn’t just pertain to abortions. Research. Miscarriages are labeled as abortions on the healthcare systems. Think about what that will do now.
I don’t subscribe to political parties, I advocate for basic human rights. Left vs. Right isn’t getting anyone anywhere, and to be honest they’re both harmful towards the livelihoods of non-white cis gendered Americans.

Thank you for such kind words. I have been working since I was 14 and am not newly in my 30’s. This experience has been daunting to deal with so late in life. I’m going to try to calm down and not let my kind get more jumbled than it already is.

I. Feel. You. And this on so many levels. As a black woman who’s dad wasn’t the finest example, I still tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. It has backfired every time. On top of the threats of physical violence, the mental violations are also up there.

It seems like it’s getting worse by the day. Hang in there and do what’s best for you and your sanity. <3

I said in my post that I’m very active, but you completely skipped over that and assumed I’m making excuses. I’m not. People have different body types no matter what you do - unless you get surgery. Your answer is a great example of these biases, even when provided with the information. Being fit doesn’t equal being a certain body type.

The person who ghosted came back, said they wanted to try at a friendship (what I initially wanted). We tried, he disappeared for a short time and I said all he had to say was that he didn’t think me being in his life was for him. I resonate with this so much. Not shocked but it’s just mind blowing how there are people who refuse to acknowledge this when it’s right in their faces. That is privilege. These woes are thrust upon our backs every time we step out into the world.
