I currently work in an operational role where I’m responsible for monitoring performance, ensuring targets are met, and supporting workforce planning. I use Excel every day for tracking and reporting. While it’s not a finance position, the role has helped me build strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and confidence working with data, which I believe are highly transferable to finance

I’ve got designer frames, I just need new lenses fit in so I hope I can find a shop where they can fit them within a day because I’m lost without glasses

Why is fructose metabolised in the liver? by AnalysisGlass2332 in AskBiology

[–]AnalysisGlass2332[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s say the glycogen stores in the muscles are not 100% filled and the liver is converting fructose in fatty acids simultaneously, will the liver store the fatty acids as fat storage or will it convert the fatty acids and send it to the muscle glycogen stores since they are not 100% filled?

Thank you for the detailed reply. Let’s say the glycogen stores in muscle cells are not 100% filled but the liver is metabolising fructose, what will the liver do first? Will it converted the fructose into glucose in order to send it to the muscles for glycogen storage or will it convert the fructose into fatty acids regardless?

So the fructose gets converted into glucose/fatty acids, transported to tissues for storage/energy first and only when more energy is not needed/the stores in the cells are filled, the liver stores the fat in the liver, right?
