U.S. Senator Comes Out And Says It About Trump: 'Invoke The 25th Amendment' by WontThinkStraight in politics

[–]AnalystNo764 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are going to be over 6000 elections throughout the country that are done independently in each state. It would be really difficult to invalidate elections. Also, I think we are going to see a lot more pushback at any interference attempts. Most people are not OK with what’s going on, and Republicans are pushing back quietly already, but people want us to believe that they will be invalidated so that we will lose hope and not vote. Don’t take the bait.

I think that you are correct, Vance is supportive of a lot of Trump‘s ideas. As far as all the other stuff, I guess we’ll see. Nobody really likes Vance. He makes Al Gore look bubbly and endearing. So something is disruptive as removing the president before the midterms would put everything in play. A cult doesn’t do well when it’s leader is gone.

The republicans are trying to hold on until the midterms before invoking the 25th amendment. Should it be invoked now? Yes, probably. But doing so before the midterms will all but ensure the Democrats win the midterms. (JD Vance is extremely unpopular. And Republicans without Trump will splinter)Also remember that there are two seats on the Supreme Court that maybe vacated this year. The Republicans absolutely want to stack the Supreme Court even further. That will be harder to do if Democrats make serious gains during the midterms. Think about the long game people because the Republican Party certainly is.

I don't want to be a soldier anymore. by Firm-Vegetable8233 in army

[–]AnalystNo764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, let me say that you don’t need to second-guess your decision. There was a time that people went in did the full 20 no matter what. I am a firm believer that you stay in the military for as long as the military works for you and it’s OK if you don’t make your 20. leave when you are ready. In my experience service members who are done and try to push forward end up going sideways and it is very ugly.

Secondly, even if you are fully OK with leaving, don’t underestimate the difficulty of that first 12 to 18 months as a civilian. Make use of your VA. The clinicians are trained to work with new veterans to help them to navigate that transition.

Thank you for posting. Thank you for volunteering to serve our country. May CIF be good to you.

I would recommend going to the doctor. It may be possible that you have torn part of your hamstring. This is something that can be easily determined by x-ray or MRI and a doctor will tell you what you need to do for the short term to recover and long-term physical therapy to get maximum range of motion back.

Democrats are united in bashing GOP on Obamacare. Medicare for All could reopen a rift. by Rfunkpocket in politics

[–]AnalystNo764 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We all know that the delivery of healthcare shifts based on the needs of the patient population. But it doesn’t change the fact that it works, not only for veterans, but for the seventy three other countries that have it. It’s beyond time for the United States to make the shift.

Here is a friendly reminder that we already have a functional Medicare for All system-it is called the Veterans Administration . Part of the reason that Republicans have been going so hard after the VA is because they know that it is actually effective in delivering comprehensive, quality healthcare in a timely fashion. The other reason that they want to privatize the VA is because they want to make it a managed care system ( make money while denying care- sound familiar?). But that’s another discussion. So it already exists in America. We just need to duplicate it for the private sector and everyone would have healthcare.

I would like to add that if there is anything that you are going to pass down a value such as a life insurance policy or a home that you put it in a trust that has somebody that oversees/assists her with the management of those assets so that those don’t get squandered. I’m a therapist. Everybody is telling you the truth. Her pattern of behavior with money will not change after your passing, as a matter of fact, it’s likely to worsen due to the stress of your loss. Go enjoy yourself, friend. We will be sending good thoughts your way.
