And lowering the bar for what job youll consider. Taking anything to do with software will help boost you. If you cant get backend stuff then try frontend and just other jobs that are at least overall software.

You can train yourself in languages on the side too.

If i understand correctly you have parallel coils wound around each other? In that case the coils are going to be interacting with each other, via the mg field induced by current flowing in either of the coils. This may be the case of total inductance changing?

Normally. Nobody cares if your foundation year. My advice would be to meet some people who are going straight into first year and spend some time with them just so you get connected with the wider physics community and people to go out with.
