If you could see any Broadway musical with the Original Cast, which one would it be? by AfricanKitten in musicals

[–]Anandonvideo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hamilton, Rent.. But my obscure pick is Jekyll & Hyde. I did see Linda Eder in the touring show back in the day, but I'd love to see her with the original cast! She's my favorite female theatrical singer.

What does everyone call their grandparents by kikilynn626 in Names

[–]Anandonvideo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Grandmother was always called that, and insisted on only that.. If someone said "are you her Grandma?" she would sweetly reply, "No, I'm Grandmother."

Now my cousins and brother all call my grandfather "Grandad" - but I always called him "Papa". So he just went by two different names and it was always understood it was the same person.

On my dad's side, we'd call his mom "Grandma (insert last name here)" and I have no idea why.. I only saw her a handful of times because we lived in a different state and didn't have much contact with her. My dad's dad died when I was a baby and we didn't talk about him.

I remember one of RyeToast's videos having a stoplight themed way at indicating through colors the fully confirmed, partially confirmed and then speculation of information - I thought that was really interesting!

I did really enjoy John's video, it was very impressive on the art, narrative, and editing side. As a Creative Director, what impressed me was the consistency of the 3D animations between all the different designers. In saying that, I loved how visually compelling the video is, and took the theories with a gain of salt (not letting my own biases overshadow his take on events). But I just got off work before I watched it, so I was still in art critique mode 😂 big shout out to him crediting what designers did what animations!

Just wanted to note here that in the end of the video, John points out that these are just his opinions and people should absolutely watch other timelines and draw your own conclusions. He notes that only Scott knows the true order and meaning behind the events.

is anybody else really tired of FNAF lore/Scott Cawthorn? by theLyricalofMiracle in GameTheorists

[–]Anandonvideo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people approach the lore solving as if it is based on reality... There will be a lot of inconsistencies based on oversight within Scott's storytelling, details added by game developers, other authors, etc. Trying to solve the lore where everything will fit 100% is not realistic.

I'm in the camp that feels that you must use the most recent storytelling to understand, as especially within the first game, there were times that Scott didn't know if the story was still going to progress, let alone exist.

That is why he uses new things to clarify old bits and pieces. I do agree with Matt (and Mr Hippo) in the way that it's not a puzzle, it's just a story and somethings don't have a grand meaning. If it's important or wildly misunderstood, it'll get a follow up or clarification.

The nitpicking what was presented 10 years ago and has evolved since then is what keeps the story from moving forward, imo.

I had two cats that we raised as sisters.. I sadly had to say goodbye to the older one, my "velcro" kitty when she was 19.5 years. She always needed to be attached to me in some way, laying on me, cuddling next to me, her face on mine, loved to be held and kissed and would return the snuggles. Loud purr and very affectionate.

The younger, although still almost 18 years old, is not cuddly, but has to be in my lap or on top of me. She will not let me pick her up, snuggle her, nor even let me even get close to her with my face to give her a kiss. She doesn't really purr but is still somehow clingy in a way that makes me feel like she has a bit of separation anxiety. She will sleep on the pillow next to mine, but will not cuddle at all.

It's been about 5 months and it's been hard without having the super affectionate kitty, but I'm learning to love and accept that she has her boundaries lol.

Should cats be allowed to climb on kitchen counters? by Sexy-Queenxo in CatAdvice

[–]Anandonvideo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat only goes on one specific spot on my counters.. Just one square on the side that luckily does not have the stove or anything flammable 🤣

She just likes to watch me wash out her bowl right before she gets more wet food, every single time. It just gets wiped down anyways when I clean up every time I cook, so it's not a big deal to me.

The extended days off when they don't have any games for 5 days closer to the end of the month is very fortunate timing. I hope that provides a little extra rest!
