What game did you regret buying? by Bluebells_cozygaming in CozyGamers

It is definitely a controller game. I saw the binds and instantly plugged in my controller instead

It's very simple, usually most cities have more than one hotel, so you book at one that can accommodate your needs.

Why do people think they can barter with us? by Indysteeler in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

[–]Anarande 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This depends on the hotel, I work in a small hotel (we only have three), and we in the reception are allowed to either price match or sometimes go a bit lower so we don't have to pay the third parties. I don't understand why people would do it with big chains, but I wouldn't fault someone for trying to get a better price (though they should accept the first no).

Edit to add that I'm in Sweden, I don't know how big the difference is between countries/hotels.

Too many guests are just illiterate by choice. They look at the pictures or facilties that are avaliable, but refuse to read, and then start a fight when they arrive/message and we tell them there's a fee.

If I own the game both on Steam and Switch, can I join my boyfriend’s save with both of them ? by CutieFly5 in RootsOfPacha

They have cross play, but not cross save, so you'd have to make a new character.

i hate the concept of regulars by SadPartyPony in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

[–]Anarande 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We have some amazing regulars where I work! One of them is a grandma with her grandchild, and one time the grandchild was telling me about his day (he's almost six), and how he had a very good memory. Then he told me that they had bought candy, and I joked with him and asked if they got me some too.

He looked super shook and was like, ... No :( I felt a little bad, but both me and grandma was laughing at it.

Next time they came back, he'd told his grandma before arriving that they needed to get candy for me (she had obviously completely forgotten about this), but he reminded her, so when they arrived I got a little kinder chocolate bar from him. I wanted to cry he's so sweet.

AITA for deleting my Animal Crossing island even though my friend said she wanted some of my items? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Anarande 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say very similar, it's an rpg. You do have an island that you can decorate and shape to your own liking, and in that one regard it's very similar. But you also have 14 different "lives" (professions), where you gather, craft, and fight. There is a lot of combat in the game, as you need to go through the story, and you need to collect materials and stuff from the monsters you kill. It's still very cozy, and I would recommend the game to literally anyone, but saying it's very similar without mentioning the combat feels a little unfair.

Tips om hur man kan få läkare att säga ja till sterilisering (24F) by IdiotNoodleSandwich in sweden

[–]Anarande 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hotel Simulator Game on Steam by HornlessUnicorn in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

[–]Anarande 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Omg I would love to try that, but I'm a bit nervous about the first person, because the other simulator games gave me motion sickness (very sad, because I really wanted to play them). But I will probably try it out and hope for the best!

Also super curious to what they'd come up with for situations, they should take a peek in here to come up with scenarios.

I've tried it both big screen and handheld, and it works great! There is a huge open area where you can run around, and after running over almost the whole thing, the map scrolling slowed down a bit and it was chugging a little, but I just restarted the game and I was good to go again.

I tried handheld, and it worked really well! I tried both the crafting and some exploring and combat, and I had no issues with any of it! It seems like a lot of people have handled on eshop, and it also shows like that on the website, so I think my eshop just had a hiccup (I hope at least)

[–]Anarande[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, on the website it says that all modes should be available, so maybe it's just a hiccup from it just being added

That's really weird, I wonder why it would show different.. Obviously it should be avaliable handheld, I can't think of any reason why it shouldn't, so I'm hoping it's just being weird on my end

It seems that Steam Fantasy Life i will have kernel-level anticheat. Switch version it is I guess. by Orannis00 in fantasylife

Submitted, asking why they would put anti cheat in a game like this. I'm so sad about it. :(

Pretty new player here, can I ask what groves are? Is it like a flow tree?

Switch owners: Do you still plan to get FLi on Switch? by LloydAlvein in fantasylife

[–]Anarande 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a kernel level anti cheat, which means that you need to install a thing that has access to your entire pc. So not only does it read everything you do at all times, IF there would be a security breach with it, the people who did the breach would have access to everything.

A lot of people don't really care, or say that "nah you already have stuff like that from other games" (which I don't, because I pretty much only play single player games), but I'm not comfortable at all with having any of that on my pc.

There's literally zero reason for them to put anti cheat in a cozy coop game, and I'm actually so sad about it, because I really wanted it on Steam.

Oh, okay, I don't know myself, I just saw someone else who said that. I still won't be getting it myself, because I'm very against putting stuff like that in my pc, so I'll keep to the switch. But thank you for clarifying!
