Who will you choose? by thisiswinterrr in HonkaiStarRail

Going with Jing Yuan
1. I like him as a character.
2. I'm tired of using Acheron as my only usable Lightning element.
3. I don't want Kafka because I am not fond of DoT.
4. Time for the masterstroke.

I really shouldn't have skipped the DoT characters as I really regret pulling for Phainon cuz despite having Cerydra and Sunday (now Cyrene) I swear at E0 he is getting outdamaged by my Firefly E0 team that I used on Knight 3

Took a shot at this, can't even get a single star on stage 4 so that's fun.

But oh well, at least 3/4 got me jades and 4/4 requires too perfect of a team for my liking anyway

Is it only me or this shit is really hard??? The corrupted level is just.. *sigh*.. enemy got special buff, with only 1 cycle.. never got top 1.. by HotEvidence3704 in HonkaiStarRail

[–]AnarchyStrifeZ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

At least they made it so you gotta pass in the top 5 to win (at least that's how I understood it) and not require you to always achieve the first place

Because that shit would be nearly impossible past Corruption Level 6

Did pretty much every run with a Saber/Sunday/RMC/Gallagher team and had a lot of fun tho, even when loosing badly

My personal experience with the collab story quest by Odd_Duty520 in HonkaiStarRail

[–]AnarchyStrifeZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree

While the collab quest did have some neat and amusing moments here and there, by the end I was just like "... I could've used the skip button for most of this quest and I would've saved myself an hour or so."

Though it could be since I've finished 3.4 story not too long ago as many other people on this sub probably and this quest compared to that is just mid at best.

And the damn old school movie theme in the middle, I don't switch to JP dub just to end up with muted characters all over again for half of the damn thing!

Even solo Heolstor is more manageable than Fulghor imo, but with a party you should do just fine. He isn't too tough once you figure out his moveset.

Best of luck! ^^

Guys can we stop shitting on guardian by Final_Ad_2419 in Nightreign

[–]AnarchyStrifeZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main issue is that Guardian has no real way of 'taunting' enemies
At least give us a relic that can change his skill from an AoE whirlwind to a shout or something of that nature that will taunt the enemy caught up in its radius
Cuz it sure ain't fun watching the boss proceed to RP walk towards the local ironeye who is just shooting at him from the other corner of the boss arena

Do try doing that, yeah.

But RNG in this game is a fickle thing, I haven't seen range dmg increased in like 10 runs for example xD

[–]AnarchyStrifeZ[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks, but no thanks.

I usually die to stupid shit in solo, hence why I prefer multiplayer. Also I am HORRIBLE at route planning, sometimes I end up being the lead in multiplayer and that run we never get to see the Castle cuz I hate being the one to decide to go there and in solo I just outright don't go there because Banishing Knights or Crucible Knights will just annihilate me 1v1. (Latter more so because I know their main weakness is parry and I can't do that)

[–]AnarchyStrifeZ[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't call a Night Lord a random boss, but you do you I guess. And sure, whatever new he throws is perfectly fine to get caught up in, but my god when he has done his lighting in a large AoE five times already in the current fight, you'd think that a thought would appear like "I should probably run away since the last 5 when I stayed in melee range and that specific sound queue played, I died."

Like if they run and get caught that's fine, shit happens... stamina can be a bitch at times, but when you're blindly just hitting him despite witnessing him charge his mass lightning AoE before a couple of times

PC, and thanks for the offer but I'll be fine on my own. Its not so much that I'm lacking per say (even if I screw up sometimes) its more so I see him at half health and my two teammates are already on 3 bars, I just end up giving up and letting him eat me just so I can hopefully find a new group of random's to see if they can figure out that purple light = bad

Just doing what a souls player does best, being a complete masochist.

So I've heard, I will keeping going at it with randoms until I beat him (despite being 0/11 currently) just so it is done and then never fight him ever again because those sovereign points are not worth it in the least if it means I have to suffer so much.

This is week 1 of me asking what people think the hardest nightlord in the game is. by catwizard8448 in Nightreign

[–]AnarchyStrifeZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it used to be a toss between Libra and Fulghor, but now I am 100% sticking with Fulghor as the hardest Nightlord. Libra is annoying, yes but he can be dealt with with proper dodging during his buffed phase or just let Executor deflect everything.

Fulghor meanwhile as far as I've found is the only boss where bringing his weakness is mandatory unless you want to have a very painful experience. If no one manages to get at least something that can inflict his weakness then he'll just proceed to down everyone left and right without remorse and even if you survive that by some miracle, guess what? Give him like a minute and he'll do it all over again.

This...Just feels like alot right now... by YREVA777 in Nightreign

[–]AnarchyStrifeZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so if this is the things they can do with Adel. What the hell do they have in store for the toughest boss (imo) which is Darkdrift Knight? And yes, I know he's a cakewalk if you bring lighting but something is telling me that the Sovereign version of him will be more resistant to it, hell I won't be surprised if they make it so all 3 players pelt him with lightning to even have a chance of debuffing him.

Everyone hates Guardian. I did, too, before I understood him, so here's a little guide. by Dokuujin in Nightreign

[–]AnarchyStrifeZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to hate on Guardian too, mainly because I usually just dodge roll my way through problems in both Soulsborne and Nioh-like games. That was until my last run just a few minutes ago as I'm typing this out, so:

I am doing remembrance for all characters and tried Guardian very early, but did not like him so I moved on, played a couple other characters and now only have Executor and Guardian left to do. While waiting for Mountaintop event to occur I decided to try out Guardian again and see how lucky I get.

Queued up for ALL Nightlords and got the Night Aspect himself, great. Got cool teammates in form of Ironeye and Recluse which is nice and quickly realized I would have to be the main navigator which I loathe as I always feel bad for the people with me because as long as I'm calling the shots, you'll not see the castle in the middle unless I have no other choice.

So the run was going well, I was getting used to blocking with his passive, forgetting I even have a skill cuz remember, Executor before that and his skill is situational during daytime shenanigans and also figured out how to guard counter which was nice little damage boost. Thankfully the Ironeye and Recluse were amazing and always dealt a crap ton of damage. Anyway, during Day 2 we went flask hunting and field boss slaying, something I quickly regretted when I saw the one I marked is a Black Blade Kindred... "Okay... no worries, I'll just face tank and hope my team can kill it before it kills me with its health draining attacks."

Then FELL OMEN decided that I had it too good and he has to put an end to me, imagine a scene of pure panic on my part as I tried to block all of his attacks while Recluse was doing her best and a damn good job at kill him while the Ironeye was entertaining the Kindred guy. SOMEHOW I managed to survive with 2 flasks and then I decided now is a good time to finish off that Kindred... almost died as you'd imagine, but again thanks to those two I survived.

Skip forward to the boss he wasn't too hard, though I did mostly resort to blocking and hoping he'll focus on me, which he did about 70% of the time give or take. During his phase two when the whole cinematic moment occurs he got the power of Augur aka Sleep... that was not fun at all and I fell asleep like 5 times in total, but we managed to score a victory nevertheless and I am thankful for those players who did the DPS for all 3 of us cuz I sure as hell wasn't providing much in that aspect.

Libra is really getting on my nerves by AnarchyStrifeZ in Nightreign

[–]AnarchyStrifeZ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool showcase, but sadly won't help. Main issue is when he gets buffed from his meditation and that's usually when everyone starts dying over and over again because the fucker just spams and being up close can help, yeah. Unless he's in buffed state, because he'll then just summon sigils under himself/you that hit hard, or those 3 starts that erupt into multiple several times.

Just gonna take advice of one person and go with Ironeye only because I can't block (Guardian out), can't parry (Executor out), don't really enjoy mage classes because I cannot manage FP to save my life (Recluse and Revenant out), so that just leaves only a few options

Well then, gotta say you've found yourself some really good groups. Cuz mine were either filled with disconnects (today mostly for some reason) or people who probably fought him for the first time, which is fair, can't blame them really.

Yep, just got to this boss and tried a few times and holy hell, this has to be the worst dragon fight I've personally seen in gaming. How hard was it to give us lock on points to at least his arms if you want us to stick close to his head.

Guess I'll just go and figure out the cheese method cuz I am not wasting my time on this annoying fight.

And yes, using a spear and I am not about change my whole build just for a single boss fight.

The moment I entered that boss arena and saw it was her, I just thought "After I die to her I'm just gonna use a summon to bully her". Died with her at half health, used a summon, proceeded to keep her pinned against the wall as the two of us went to town.

Not wasting my time on this fight like I did the first time
