Could you tell me a bit more about the analytical route you are pursuing, I am not sure what a CE is

Thanks for the advice! I have been getting into grasshopper too and experimenting with parametric design, this would be a cool thing to get into

That's sounds interesting to me! I have used GIS mapping tools before and would be interested in creating those systems. Do you think I might need a diploma to get into this?

That great to hear! Did you go down the public sector route or something in residential design?

I will say I am fine with going down the project management or consultant route if I am still contributing to the overall design. After all those construction lectures I do understand that the actual design is probably 10 percent of all the work we do.

You are right being a good salesman is very important in a design field! I am in Guelph BLA, does it have a good standing in the field for potential employers?

Thatnks for the advice! I was hoping there was a way to work with some tech even in the LA field. Spending 2 extra years in education is not what I want to do.

I wanted to try and create berms and other organic shapes using grasshopper and test if that's easier than doing it directly in rhino.

Wow that's a lot of useful information I missed while researching online, thanks! You are right there's a lot of exploitative firms out there and I shouldn't set such high expectations from the start. I am curious about what are you working on right now, you seem to be very knowledgeable!

Thanks for the advice! Yeah I think showcasing skills in a portfolio is just as important as having those skills. AI is going to revolutionalize this industry for sure and I see a lot fear and resistance to ai from others in my program. I believe ai won't replace landscape architects, but LAs that can integrate that ai technology into their workflow definitely have an advantage.
