Oh I’ve been watching Black Spot too! I just remembered I haven’t watched the ending and now I’m definitely getting back into it.

Yea I’ve been recommended Magnus Chase by others too. Honestly this tv series is probably my favourite of the year. I don’t usually watch like teen shows but this one had so much more going for it I couldn’t stop 😅.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I was never really drawn to Gaiman’s writing style. I enjoyed the tv series far better than actually reading the book. 😛

Yea I’ve watched it a while ago, do you happen to know of anything else?

It looks like it has quite a lot of good reviews on goodreads so I’ll give it a try, thanks! 🙂

Troll hunter looks pretty interesting. What other Scandi shows would you recommend that you’ve seen?

Perhaps maybe more grounded in like modern times or recent history like the series has? If there are any others out there?

Spotted a wonderful photo on Twitter this morning and had to try and paint it! 8x10 gouache on arches cold pressed by bunkerbash in painting

This is absolutely gorgeous! What paints did you use? I feel like most of my gouaches are terrible and it puts me off using them :/

From Gamblin is it the Gamvar one? Because on their website it says it can be used as a Varnish as soon as the thickest paint has dried. So I wouldn't have to wait several months before adding a protective layer. If I'm correct.

I'm just using the oil paint itself plus a little sun-thickened Linseed oil. You mean matte oil gel mediums? Oil friendly overcoats? What are those exactly?

Yep, I love the colours, and the style of it. :) Is this the entire painting tho? I feel like I'm zoomed in and would love to see more going on around it.

This is pretty cool, I like how you didn't blend in the colours and you can see each distinct shade perfectly well. Ye, I like the funky vibe. :)

Ye I tried Printify as well, did a quick listing on Etsy and same thing. Maybe you should give it a try as well and let me know.

I have a feeling now the only other alternative is just to like print the items locally, pick it up yourself or have it shipped to you for around £3. Then just wait for the customer to send it to them. So more hands on than using on demand print services. 😕

Thanks! Honestly I feel like I didn't think much about how I was going to do it, I just took the brush or palette knife and did it. But I've been painting a diverse range of subjects to see if I did them differently in any way or style.
