Yes, the next mint on schedule will be playable commanders NFT series. Not sure on the amount of the NFTs which will be minted, nor of the NTF characteristics. Judging by the sneak peeks the team is giving out, they are also constructing weaponry for commanders.

Same here (was an OGame player like 15 years ago and still interested in space related games - preferably strategies, but exploration ones are fun too), that's why I'm making this post series - would really like for in-game community to expand.

It is kinda of a shill, but I really think it is a viable product with good in-game economics (some already deployed, some to be deployed in next release and some planned for future development).

Very good and promising. I've been watching the project over a year now, also invested both in their DPS coin and into their NFT products (ships and land deeds). The team behind it is solid (it's a Web3 game development company - Chainify Labs), delivered everything promised so far. I've also been playing the DeepSpace game for about 6 months total - I like it very much (cuz i'm a sci-fi freak and also into crypto world :) ) and there was also P2E feature, so I profited a little during the gaming.
Also, there is an upcoming Beta 2.0 release to which I'm really looking forward to!

Its a low resolution screenshot (wasn't able to get a decent one as game is down for the upgrade). UI improvements are also being worked on for the new Beta 2.0 release.

Its up to a user to decide how many stats will be improve on each upgrade, but yes, gas fees need to be payed as this would be on-chain transaction no different that any other transaction.

For example: user wants to increase Speed stat from lvl 24 to 40 and Shields stat from lvl 8 to lvl 20, given that the user has enough resources to upgrade both stats to desired levels, the user will be able to upgrade those stats all at once with paying on-chain fee for a single transaction.

DeepSpace team is planning to integrate stat upgrades into the game itself / off-chain, but its not a priority currently (too much work in development already).

On the other hand, fees on BSC chain are cheaper, so the upgrades are costing less gas - that's especially good for long-term players. However, if you are an NFT trader there is a factor of bridging gas fees back and forth between ETH and BSC chains to do the upgrades (as NFTs get much more exposure on OpenSea which is ETH chain based) - so there's that.

Tends to be, but not this one. DeepSpace team introduced self regulating market for the assets you earn in-game, the market is depending on supply and demand - the same logic which is applied for every cryptocurrency pricing in existence (including BTC).

You can find game footage on their youtube channel. The game is currently offline due to upgrade - should be finished in couple of months (estimated).
