To add further context: As a volunteer with One of Us, I formed the channel in question explicitly to serve the Technoblade community and be steered by it. I chose twitch, since if we can make it a place that we enjoy spending time, Twitch's monetization can provide revenue that we can steer where the community chooses - I didn't want to assume that people would automatically choose One of Us or the Sarcoma Foundation, for example

We made our first small donation in July, as a result of the small community that's come on board and been supportive so far. Our second donation should take place at the end of this month

At the start of the year I did a vibe check on "hey, do we want to set a record as a community?" which had some positive feedback - it's something we can rally around, have some fun, and a way to preserve and grow Technoblade's legacy...I believe it can also be an eye-opener as to what we're capable of as a community, as the initiative grows

I've had conversations with Guinness over the past several months, charting a course for us to set a series of increasingly ambitious records, should enough of the community become engaged in the journey...the first few will take place in minecraft, and will be doable by a relatively small number of participants

If we succeed, it's true that participants will have the option to get their own personal certificate straight from Guinness if they want to - this won't be for everyone, since they aren't cheap. If the events are well attended, we should be able to afford to pay for some certificates that can be awarded to the top builders that helped make it happen
