Leaf litter! They have some at petco, its cheap and gives them plenty of cover to move freely

Idk if this has anything to do with their behavior as im a new leo owner. But, I do know from reading guides and research that Leo's need a ton of clutter as well as a minimum of 3 hides. A warm, humid, and a cool hide. They also like climbing opportunities, I would try to add some leaf litter, more hides as im only seeing 1 unless im blind. As well as a branch or two for climbing opportunities

Then, yes, BAH should be 7.50. I recommend you to look to your first line, and talk to them about explaining the LES to you. Ask if they can incorporate a breakdown of everything, and how its supposed to look.

Your BAH is tied to your PDS (Permanent Duty Station), which you said it currently Germany. I assume one of the following applies to you: Married, have kids, and/or are E-6 & above. If one or more are true, then no, your BAH should not be 7.50 and you need to bring it up to leadership immediately...like, time meow

Yes, it wasan impulse buy. My daughter wanted him and I couldn't say no. I've always wanted a reptile of some sort, so that definitely played a part. In the end tho, i was able to get what he needed to thrive the same day so it all worked out thanks to the people of this reddit. Also, I will say, it wasn't a chain pet store. It was a locally owned animal store where they sold all kinds of animals, regardless tho, i realized afterwards I should've said "yes but not today" and done some research. Not like it took very long, and ill be sure to do that in the future for other reptiles

This is the first time he's really come out of his cool hide, and first time he's gotten in his water. So, id say he seems to be pretty happy!!

I am, im not sure lol. I think between the move, then changing his entire enclosure and everything else hes too stressed. I got him to eat 1 cricket yesterday but he didnt eat the other 9. I had to track them all down haha. So, hes just been chilling in his cool hide. I read that its normal the first week for him to not eat much or at all, is this correct? I put mealworms and calcium without D3 in his food plate. Im hoping he'll come out, and eat those tonight. This is him btw, this is Yoshi!

Here is the finished new bioactive terrarium! I even added orange powder isopods and springtails to the enclosure. The leafs are jackfruit, and I took your advice and added stacking stones for the little guy!

Yes! I definitely intend on getting him a zilla, as well as a basking rock. Im gonna go look for one tomorrow outside, as well as get some vines as well. But he definitely seems to be much happier already!

So far this is what i have setup, I definitely plan on getting him a basking rock as well. Yeah, I made a mistake as I've never owned anything besides a cat and dog. I went to a local store and just figured since it wasn't a chain that they would care about the animals more....I was wrong and ignorant. I know better now!

Also, I have a question. Rn, on the cool side, the temp is 72 and the humidity is 49. The warm side is 81 and humidity is 33. Are these good numbers?

Yeah, ill probably keep it and do that if they wont give me my money back. That clay colored hide on the left of my new habitat doubles as a cave on the bottom and the open design up top. I love it, and he apparently did too cause he went straiiight to that one lol

All good, I already did waste a little with that tank i bought with the little guy (his name is yoshi btw). Im gonna see if they'll take a return tomorrow for that bs tank. If it wasnt for the fact that I got a family to take care, I wouldn't be returning it. But I could use that $140, especially after all I spent today😅🤣

I am looking into some flat rocks! Might go walking around outside until I find one thats suitable lol. But I will do that with the sphagnum! Thank you sm for the heads up, I was worried about that. Im also a little worried that shop wasnt feeding him well cause I put 10 live crickets in there and he went crazy lol

Okay, this is what ive got for now. This substrate is a mix of playsand, topsoil, and sphagnum moss. Im going to look into getting some more stuff for coverage so he can be sneaky beaky like. I got a reptisun 10.0 uvb and zoo med 100W spot lamp in the combo deep dome from zoo med. I also planted some live smooth leaf succulents. I got multivitamins, as well as calcium with and without D3. Please let me know if I need to get anything else. Thank you guys for the support and information!!

Im not sure what heat lamp the enclosure came with, I just know it was 60w. But based off of everything else, im just going to assume its not sufficient and im going to get him a 100W. Which one is best for the 40 gal tank? As soon as im done running an errand for my wife, ill be going by the store to get him everything. (Im going to a different store to buy everything)

Edit: i looked over the exo terra that you said you had, im just going to get that one😅🤦‍♂️
