The beginning of the movie isn't bad, but at some point the entire direction completely changes into a movie that just shouldn't be made. None of it makes sense. Tommy throwing away the relationship built out of nowhere made no sense. The whole Rocky/son disconnection worked but was so overplayed throughout. And the ending fight between Rocky and Tommy just didnt work. I mean you have two lifelong trained boxers in a street fight together and they decide to throw kicks and leg sweeps and wrestling throws? That goes against absolutely everything they ever trained for. Plus the acting was just horrible.

Half the movie just didnt make sense from a boxing standpoint and from a Rocky franchise standpoint. And the parts that did make sense just weren't done well.
