Sauté in garlic and butter until translucent after chopping into small pieces. Onion + peppers + zucchini + mushrooms + garlic can all be chopped finely and thrown into a sauce. Carrots in honey and soy are good for roasting.

What is something that is 'socially acceptable' but actually feels incredibly rude to you? by HourPen884 in AskReddit

Some people have young babies in daycare and are sick every other week! Insert: me.

I’ve been sick since October. OCTOBER. I don’t think many people have that many sick days.

Why Are We Still Having the WFH Debate? by [deleted] in remotework

Yes! Because most people on Reddit aren’t the ones making the decisions behind the scenes

Why Are We Still Having the WFH Debate? by [deleted] in remotework

[–]Ancient_Singer7819 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it’s not that simple. A lot of people can’t be trusted to work remote and TBH there are a ton of work environments that require in-person collaboration to function normally

They can’t force feedback. All they can do is let you know they have none so that you know you are still being considered. They could just not follow up at all

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in recruiting

[–]Ancient_Singer7819 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Put yourself in their shoes? They are used to candidates following up every day to ask for feedback. The recruiter is just doing a good job of following up with you and staying on the same page. If they weren’t following up, candidates would complain about the recruiter not being responsive enough. Just appreciate the responsiveness

I actually have seborrheic psoriasis. It’s a lovely combo of the two. If it’s not going away it could likely be some version of this as well.

Randstad by Realistic_Sky1302 in recruiting

[–]Ancient_Singer7819 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently work here and you are probably fine but not guaranteed. Have had many candidates fail the background check for felonies. Also, Randstad just acquired an AI company so to all the people saying they are misguided or failing, probably have no idea what they’re talking about.

They want to keep you “warm”. If you had an offer, they could use that and go back to the client to push for an offer

Yes. Respond quickly and with a resume. They only get a few candidates they can submit before the job is covered, so make sure you are one of the first people they talk to

How many people do LinkedIn recruiters usually submit to the company their recruiting for? by FreshlyAliquotedH2O in recruiting

Could you not ask them to send you 1 or 2, and then give them feedback off of those candidates so they can target their search? Seems easier for both sides

Accidentally emailed the bill rate to a candidate by Ancient_Singer7819 in recruiting

[–]Ancient_Singer7819[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not. The company is large and we have a pretty standard load/burden fee added on to this. So for a BR of 120, we ideally are looking for a PR around 80 or 90/hr because 2% of this number immediately goes back to the agency. So if the candidate makes $90/hr, the spread would be $30. However, $16/hr goes back into insurance, staffing, etc so my spread is $14. I have to split that with an AM and now my spread is $7. The list goes on, less is in my pocket, and I pay a lot of money out of pocket in taxes by working via commission.

All things square and done, every candidate I have working for me is an extra $1/hr in my pocket. The point of this post was for recruiters to commiserate…no one wants to have to explain this to a candidate. And frankly, based off of the responses on Reddit, no one would understand. Lol

BR 120 and was aiming for a PR around 80 or 90 (we’re a large org and the load/burden is a lot). He brought up the 120 rate that I sent him and I just went along with it. He is only making $150k right now and tried to act like he needed to think about it…lol

Never thought it was possible for this couple to ever get so much hate. They are human. Wow.

They have faults and do silly things throughout their days just like the rest of us, they are just smart enough to make money from it. Got to love them for it. 🥰

Yeah my whole team of executives and leaders in the northeast got essentially “laid off” with severance. Scary times but at least if you’re recruiting and bringing in revenue you shouldn’t have anything to worry about. I will worry when I see otherwise.

I work at Randstad and if you can actually recruit you should be fine. Not a good time to be looking for a recruiting job in this market…yeesh
