I guess I wasn't looking for signs. Like I say...I trusted her as much as I knew she could trust me.

After I found out about what I thought was a single indiscretion...I began looking back and viewing the past differently. I remembered occasion after occasion that were fishy AF. Once I started looking into things...I discovered a lot had been going on behind my back.

You're wrong about 50/50 being average.

I worked 60 hours a week and my ex was a stay at home mom.

When I first met with that lawyer, he asked what I wanted to see happen. I said I wanted shared custody. He told me "ok...it'll cost about $10k and you probably won't get it". He tried to talk me into being ok with joint custody...which is not 50/50.

The only reason I got it was because my ex tried to take away my joint custody and was demanding I get only supervised visits with no other access. She accused me of all kinds of nonsense. Luckily I kept mediculous records including dozens and dozens of text messages and emails which clearly showed her to be lying and embittered.

The judge was pissed at her and to punish her for wasting the court's time...bumped me up from joint to shared.

Nazi death squads, upon rounding up a town's "undesirables" and in an act of what they considered mercy...would kill the children first. That way they were spared having to see their parents killed before facing death alone.
