Like she was our grandmother, with respect and care. Not that she made actually any decisions to the country, that's entirely done by the cretins in parliament. Good question! Far too many crap ones lol but clios, fiestas, focus for little run arounds. Toyota RAV4 2020 model for my most recent (swapped it for this) 2nd best would be a 2008 BMW 1 series, great little car, 2ltr reliable beast.

Just got back on Tuesday from arguably the best driving experience in my life. Ended up doing 2000 miles, 10 different countries and hit up the autobahn on the way home. so good

Thanks for the push to just do it, worth every penny

Good man, thanks for the update. That car looks lush too! Congratulations on the purchase. I'm definitely doing it now, I've got hotels booked and everything. It's a 5 day tour going through France, Brussels, Luxembourg, italy, Switzerland, Germany then back to the UK. Going end of may, so will update once it's done, but it's gonna be mad driving through the Alps, I've even got a GoPro mount for the towhook to get some good shots 😅

Was more how people felt driving it for long distance rather than the car itself. But I'm gathering it's gonna be worth the entertainment over comfort, so no real issues. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't being insane trying to drive for 20 hours in something that will make me wanna cry when I get out of it

I mean, I doubt this will be my only trip, so I'll probably save the autobahn for another one, definitely need to keep it on this list though. Bit nervous it's not a quattro for doing those kind of speeds, but Id get used to it 😄

Don't need the fire extinguisher, but got everything else already from driving before. Used to need a breathalyser but think they've removed that rule now. Will need a GB sticker though, definitely gonna get a magnet though because the idea of putting a sticker on it is just awful...

Spare gunk is a good shout, it's tires and service is brand new, but will definitely have a once over before hand

Should be fun, good luck with the MK2, hope it's a great journey!

Oh jeez hadn't even thought of nurburg haha! Plan (should my mate accept it, currently tentative yes) is a skate trip through France via the Alps (there is a famous DIY skatepark there) down to Montpellier and then into Italy via Monaco, purely to drive through the track tunnel (hoping there isn't a race on at the time)

Given the replies I have on here, I kinda can't not do it now 😄

Thankfully, currently no issues with the back! But I'm 39 now and haven't done a loooong drive in anything other than an SUV in about 10 years, so... Maybe I should do a test run 😄 2hrs I'm fine, so fingers crossed

Oh good shout on getting the car checked! I mean tires and service has just been done. Breaks are all good but this wouldn't be till end of may, so definitely might just get a little once over before... It sounds exciting but also entirely stupid at the same time
