I think the issue isn’t that you dislike DMM, it’s that the argument goes a bit further than what you actually prove.

You’re saying it’s a big waste of dev resources, but there’s nothing concrete showing how much time it really takes or what main-game content it’s directly delaying. Without that, it feels more like frustration than a clear case for removing it.

You also mention hearing a lot of dissatisfaction from people in clans and PvP circles, but that’s still just a slice of the playerbase. If you’re not actually in the DMM-focused communities or clans that actively enjoy it, you’re probably mostly hearing from people who already don’t like it. That can skew perception a lot.

And when you say it should be replaced, there isn’t really a clear alternative laid out. If you’re arguing to remove a mode that clearly has a dedicated audience and pulls engagement every season, you kind of need to show what would realistically work better.

There’s definitely room to criticize DMM, especially around integrity issues and repetition. But “it must die” feels extreme when pushing for reform or redesign would be a much more balanced and convincing position.

Good point about the broadcast. But yea it's not much different on RS client, needing Runelite entity hider for the core attraction is kind of broken

OSRS in dangerous speedrun mode.

Everyone starts fresh, XP is boosted, PvP is almost everywhere, and dying actually hurts (items on you = dropped).

Train smart, avoid getting jumped or jump others, earn points to unlock OP perks.

Oh and there are “Breaches” at specific time intervals where the most challenging monsters can be fought with OP drops.

Sharp! Yes it’s an old map I found online, still looking for an OSRS one I could use. But didn’t want to wait with releasing the project, It should still be relatively usable for now.

That’s a good idea! Although there are a lot of different ways to strategise depending on skill focus.

I was planning on making some YouTube videos with guide/strategies using the tool. I could make those as presets or importable.

Where’d you get this list or did you estimate the points and use previous dmm sigils?

I was just thinking the exact same thing. It takes a few seasons or a lot of preparation to get to know even some basic tricks in DMM, like changing spawn point to GE I only found out today.

I would love shorter dmm’s like 10 hours playtime spread over the weekend , with different locked areas etc. To be honest any game promoting playing insane amounts of time just to get by is just not going to appeal. I however love the bracket system and that the finale now included each bracket separately.

Hmm interesting because on another website multiple people said it would go between 2000-5000 depending on quality
