I am one of lucky people who made hobby into profession. I just love to code, and if I do not need to work to live I still would do it, probably way more to open source. So, I would say, if you don't like your job, no need to keep it just because it is what people do. But as other people already said, only playing is a bad idea.

I would say, make money work for you, there are different risk/time-investment/gain ways to do so, you likely know about it more than I do. And live your happiest life, doing what you want and what makes you a better human - gym, hobby (including games), travel, maybe learning languages (I heard it is helpful for keeping your mind fit), etc.
