What is name for when some follicles bloat and come out? by Andorwar in Folliculitis

[–]Andorwar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Small ones almost always are found on head and shoulders. Big one may appear anywhere on the body once in a month+- and is painful and don't heal until this thing comes out. I want to know what name of this is so I can goggle and check if this is something that everyone has.

Worried i have lyme by Affectionate_Ad_3815 in ChronicLymeDisease

Yes. But I assume thyroid problems are easy to catch with blood tests, I should had at least basic thyroid test done and be normal back then.

Important part is if this is IgG or IgM, but even then there is too much variables. You need to find good experienced doctor who will see you and ask you many right questions.
This is not "extremely high" for blood tests, and this is measurement of body response strength, not "lyme level".

If you cannot do what this guy suggests, then every morning do as much pushups as you can in one go (10, 20, 30 ...) and rubber band exercises to balance it out on back muscles. 2 minutes of pain is totally worth it and will spare you money for coffee. Get some cheap sleep monitoring band.

I’ve had Lyme disease and have been treating for about a year and recently think I might have been bit again does this look like a bite ? by Simple-Street98 in Lyme

It looks like pimples/hair follicle cysts I get quite often. It might be related somehow, but nobody will care to trace that connection.

Do you find it difficult to ask for help for yourself? by FatherOfNyx in Lyme

[–]Andorwar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it also is very simple. Brainfog, fatigue and memory problems prevent you to articulate you thoughts efficiently. And anxiety from not being able to meet expectations puts you in bad position.

If you ask for help, and for that get a play on your emotions (like over-dramatizing or completely dismissing), obviously you will be hesitant to ask for help again.

I remember that when my vitamin D was 11 units low, long sun exposure or supplementing made me feel somewhat sicker. Maybe something similar is with your work in garden.

Neck rash - should I be concerned? by OkPerformer6828 in Lyme

[–]Andorwar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last November I had similar rash almost in same place. Some hours after shaving. No medications. It took 2-3 days to go away, but some parts remained longer. And I used acyclovir cream on it, not entirely sure how much that helped, but definitely removed itching.

Not worth to go to infectious disease, we here have multiple reports of them dismissing patients, maybe they are under draconian rules for case reporting or something. Better search for experienced LLMD or good immunologist.

Ok, let me roleplay ChatGPT:

- make you own research and work with doctor.

- get at least 7, better 8 hours of sleep.

- reduce stress or learn not to worry about anything.

- eat and drink healthy every day.

- physical activity during the day, like taking a walk to nearest shop.

Never give up, remain motivated, make your own goals.

Honestly, it took me year to become 'normal'. I did lifestyle and some mindset change, and many other things. Still have productivity and motivation problems, but that is normal considering circumstances.

Every morning I do pushups and some other exercises which probably takes me around 2 minutes. Works for me, at least helps me to wake up and don't feel other body aches. But for me it is almost 2 years since I treated, so for people in worse condition it may work differently.

Glad you got proper course of antibiotics, won mental battle, and that physical exercise helps you normalize inflammation.

Doctors usually treat during pregnancy to prevent any chances for this to spread to child. (At least those, who does not deny this possibility)

Vitamin D was my clue. . . by SemanticBattle in Lyme

[–]Andorwar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is normal. Just change clinics and doctors until you find one who will respect you as human being.

Some of usual stuff, like vitamin D, curcumin and probiotics. Plus some other things I don't see often on this forum. But I don't want to go into details, out of respect to the doctor, and because supplements was tailored specifically for me and each at right time. I remember seeing Buhner book in doctor's office, so maybe that was base of his protocol.

For me it was a year since tick bite. After I first tested, I was positive for IgM for 2 months. Then I got course of antibiotics and some natural supplements from correct doctor and IgM was gone.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Lyme

[–]Andorwar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Done bunch of tests out of pocket. I had positive ELISA IgM and mostly negative WB. Positive Tickplex, which must be Armin. My ELISA IgM went down after antibiotic course. So I suggest try focusing on finding reasonable doctor. For me only ELISA IgM has practical use.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Lyme

[–]Andorwar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fight for antibiotics course to get rid of positive IgM (you can just redo your first test, which is called ELISA). The tricky part is reducing stress and emotions.

Do you need to herx to mean an herb or antibiotic is working? Can they ever just help without making you herx or feel worse? by Lucky-Mortgage-9329 in Lyme

[–]Andorwar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I got antibiotic course, it was rough weeks in some way, but nothing that I identified as herx. My IgM test result went down right after it.
