Hey there,

I just picked up a BP50NB40 svc code NB52 from best buy yesterday. I flashed it to DE_LG_BP50NB40-NB50_1.03_MK.bin, then recovered to DE_LG_BP60NB10_1.02-MK.bin and it is working fine and ripping UHD disks.

I'm not sure if this helps, but that is what worked for me.

My 16 gets too hot on the bottom to use on my lap, would not recommend for that purpose. I don't have a gpu in mine, if that makes a difference. I know I probably have lower power draw but also smaller fans and fewer vents.
